The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for checking out my 911. I've loved this car since the day I bought it in 2019 (I'm selling it only due to a change in life interests that involves travel.) Whoever owns it next will have a fantastic example of the "911 that saved Porsche." As a designer, I have an enormous appreciation of Pinky Lai's work on the 996 generation. It's future-forward, rooted firmly in the original 911 aesthetic, and smaller and more organic feeling than the current 911 generation. Please note that while the CARFAX report lists 4 owners, it’s actually a 3-owner car as one of the owners listed was the Porsche dealer in Stratham, NH. This 911 has been very well-loved and is ready for its next adventure with a new owner! The car is an impressively strong example of a 996 Carrera. Runs beautifully. An absolute joy to drive. It's a really clean driver's car.”

Nice car!
Thanks, zzracing, for the details here.
Woodrm64, as zzracing detailed, the IMS subject has received a great deal of attention over the years. I can happily report that this particular 996 has never had an issue, and has received positive reports on all inspections by Porsche since the IMS/RMS/Clutch were replaced.
Thank you, @zzracing!
IMS bearing replacement has long been a complicated and somewhat contentious matter. Basically, the IMS bearing installed by Porsche is a ball bearing cage, similar to a wheel bearing, packed with grease and sealed. If the seal fails, grease escapes and eventually the bearing overheats and fails, often causing the timing chains to jump, with major damage. Some believe that simply removing the bearing seal so that engine oil can provide splash lubrication is adequate. Others advocate that removing the seal and then providing for oil pressure spraying is the way to go. My preference is to replace the ball bearing unit with a “plain” “hard” oil fed bearing, similar to the Porsche “Metzer” engine. Athough a bit more expensive, this is a permanent life-of-the-engine solution. The only such unit of which I am aware is the “LN Solution.”
@jsmonahan or @zzracing - or anyone else, if you have input on the prior question about different manufacturers or IMS replacement kits?
Just curious - does anyone know how Porsche's own IMS replacement compares with LN Engineering's or the IMS Retrofit's?
Hi zzracing. The IMS, RMS, and clutch were done with Porsche parts.
As to the IMS bearing, what was the IMS bearing replacement used (factory, LN, etc.)?
Thanks.

@Woodrm64 Thanks for the inquiry and the kind words. I've loved this car. There are no leaks at all. There was a major service done in 2022 by Porsche Nashua NH (there's a photo of the details in the listing) at which time they went through absolutely everything for me—what you see on the service receipt is what was recommended. Since that time, it's had an annual service at Porsche Burlington MA; they did a multi-point inspection and everything checked out just fine. The dealers have also helped me to stay on top of some of the more minor 996 items like cleaning out the radiators, etc. I can reach out to them for documentation of that service last year, if that would be helpful for you?
This is a good looking 996. Does the car have any leaks? I see the IMS bearing has been replaced. How about the other 996 maintenance items? Tranny mount, injectors, coils/spark plugs, coolant tank. Thank you.
