The first year in which the model was offered in the United States, the original 911 GT3 underwent significant changes in 2004 including revised aerodynamic bodywork and a more powerfully tuned Mezger flat-six engine. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black full leather, this example was generously optioned with a thicker steering wheel, power Sport Seats, Xenon Headlamp Package, carbon door sills with logos, aluminum instrument dials, a leather rear center console, aluminum/carbon trim along the brake & shifter, and Custom Tailoring. Modifications include CSF all-aluminum radiators, close-ratio transmission gears, an OSD Giken 24-plate limited-slip differential, 996 Cup shift cables, and more. As previously listed on PCARMARKET, this GT3 is being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts with approximately 34k miles on the odometer.
Often referred to as the 996.2 version, the updated 2004 Porsche 911 GT3 used a wider bodyshell derived from the Carrera 4 along with a revised headlight design, a redesigned front fascia, and a new rear wing. This example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with optional xenon headlamps and colored Porsche crest center caps. It rides on 18” 911 GT3 wheels wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Paint protection film has been applied to the front bumper, entire hood, front fenders, headlights, rockers, A-pillars, and front edge of the roof, with some wear and pitting especially behind the rear wheels and on the rocker panels. It also features black vinyl racing stripes on the hood, roof, and decklid, and has been ceramic coated with Opticoat Pro+. The cabin presents Black full leather upholstery as part of the Leather Interior Package. Other options include a thicker steering wheel, power Sport seats, a storage compartment lid with a GT3 logo, black floor mats with Porsche lettering, air conditioning with full climate control. Exclusive options include carbon door sills with model insignias, aluminum instrument dials, a leather rear center console. Porsche-crested headrests, and the brake & shifter in carbon & aluminum. Powered by a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine, the GT3’s engine was updated with lighter pistons, longer titanium connecting rods, and an upgraded VarioCam system starting in the 2004 model year. Factory-rated at 380 HP and 284 lb.-ft of torque, power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. @bergx7 Brake pads are almost new, the owner does not recall what the RPMs are at 75. Thx and sorry it took so long to respond

1. With the reheat, what RPM is it spinning in 6th gear at 75mph?

2. Any oil consumption or consistent smoke at startup? I know the mezger occasionally do smoke 1/10 times but if consistent puff please advise.
No smoke and no oil consumption.
3. What brake pads are in the car and approximate thickness? The rotors have some heat stress cracks from track use.
The pads are nearly new.
4. Please advise on the paint questions, it appears as though front bumper paint match is off and the wheels also appear to have been painted the wrong color hence the center caps looking off.
Paint color is not off on the bumper. Likely the photography. The wheels were recently repainted and all GT3s I have seen the plastic cap color is off. We have one in our warehouse and the caps look a few shades off.

@bergx7 I have to wait on the owner for the answers to Questions one, three and four. The answer to question two is there are no puffs of smoke. There is no oil consumption over and above what you would expect from normal use. Thx

@bergx7 I apologize, I’m on Martha’s Vineyard picking up a car that has broken down. I’m in the middle of nowhere and had no service so there’s not much I could do about it. I’m happy to get those answers for you.

Is the color match of the front bumper off or just coming across as such in the pictures? When coolant lines were redone were they also pinned/welded?

Very nice GT3! Excellent upgrades. The description mentions the 996 GT3 uses the 4S widebody chassis - I don't think that is correct...?
