I'm very excited! I have an 04 C4S and absolutely love it but always wanted the extra HP in the turbo.
    Love the 996! So underrated!

    @scragin Hi @scragin,
That’s a great observation. I just checked in with Porsche Calgary, they claim they have to check the box off for any body damage at all. The front lip of the vehicle has some damage on the underside. Please refer to picture 28. The car itself has no accident history, all lines are nice and straight. Thanks for reaching out!

  • scragin (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

"Evidence of body repairs" and "Evidence of collision damage" both marked as needing attention on the PPI do not inspire confidence. Any details?

    **Porsche inspection results posted!**

    Hi everyone,
About 2 months ago, an individual looking to purchase my car completed a PPI from Porsche Calgary. Unfortunately his financing fell through last minute.
Today I purchased the results from him and posted them to the auction! Please take a look. Purchase with confidence.

@Mkark21 Hi, my walk-through video explains the minor defects with the car. There is some bubbling in the speedometer. My best guess would be humidity?
The top of the steering wheel, the carbon fiber section, has a couple hairline cracks.
One of the daytime running lights is out.
A couple of the wheels have scuffs on them.
Check out the walk-through video for up close footage!

From the pictures, it looks. as if there is bubbling on some of the instrument display panels. Can you provide some feedback? Thanks,

  • 9eleventurbo (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@scragin Canadian Carfax has been posted!

  • 9eleventurbo (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

There’s now a walk-around video posted of the car

  • 9eleventurbo (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@scragin Of course, I’ve never used this platform before so I’ll get the admin to post it!
Yes, if you know it’s going to fail why not just avoid that by unplugging it right? It can be reversed anytime. Since Porsche did it, they bypassed the spoiler warning light so it doesn’t show fortunately.

  • scragin (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Could you please post that Canadian Carfax. And I did some research and it makes sense to unplug the wing since it seems failure is inevitable with time and it has an idiot light.

  • 9eleventurbo (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@scragin It seems the services didn’t register on the US version of the carfax. I pulled the Canadian version of the carfax and the services are registered past 2011.
Yes that’s exactly why. The spoilers are well-known for issues. I believe pcarmarket made a small mistake in the description as it wasn’t done “recently” but about 3 years ago we had the spoiler unplugged from Porsche as it’s a very common for it to malfunction. It’s all documented in the service record. I’ll have pcarmarket change the wording!

  • scragin (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Does Carfax not register Canadian services? It looks like the car wasn't serviced between 2011 and 2020. Do you have those service records? Also, you state: "the rear wing was recently unplugged [by] Porsche but remains in working condition." Why was that done? I seem to recall that those wings have issues, but why would you unplug a working wing?

  • 9eleventurbo (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@kevintho911 Agreed, the carbon fiber is a great subtle touch for the interior.

  • 9eleventurbo (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

    @kevintho911 Hi Kevin,

The process is quite simple. There are essentially 3 steps that I’m aware of:

    1. When crossing the border with the car, the vehicle must meet EPA and Safety standards, which are only met with a clearance letter called a Letter of Conformity through Porsche North America. Since this is originally a US car, I’ve already attained this letter, which states it meets all requirements to be titled in the US! I should receive it in 2-4 business days.

    2. Secondly, the speedometer must be in MPH. Since this is originally a US car, you’ll have zero issues as it’s already in MPH. The digital speedometer can be toggled between MPH and KPH so the cluster wasn’t changed for this car specifically.

    3. And lastly, when crossing the border, because the car was built in Germany, you’ll pay 2-3% on the purchase price in duties.

That’s it! The process really isn’t tough at all, I had an RS4 that I sold to the US a couple years back, so I looked into it in-depth at the time.

  • kevintho911 (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Oh, and I meant to say I think the carbon fiber trim especially enhances the interior.

  • kevintho911 (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

I'm not normally a fan of 996 styling, but this one looks very well kept and shows marvelously. I was wondering if you know whether there would be much difficulty getting it registered in California and passing emissions testing. Beautiful example. Good luck with the auction!

  • 9eleventurbo (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

@Jacksunoco Appreciate the kind words my friend! And 100% agree with you. The only ‘affordable’ turbo.

  • Jacksunoco (registered bidder) 3 years, 6 monthsago

Hi folks would like to chime in ,owning a 2001 Turbo coupe i can attest the fact these cars perform so well ,incredibly fast and a joy to drive . Seems like a real nice cab here dont miss the chance to own a super car for Toyota Camry money . Best Porsche money can buy dollar for dollar . Mezger power plant what could be better or more reliable !

  • 9eleventurbo (seller) 3 years, 6 monthsago

    Hello everyone,
Welcome to the auction! I’d love to answer any questions related to my 911 Turbo. Looking forward to the pcarmarket platform!
