This 2004 Porsche 986 Boxster comes finished in Guards Red over a black leather interior and features a desirable 5-speed manual gearbox. This final-year example also features the optional Bose Sound Package, heated seats, and 17” Boxster S II wheels. Since 2021, this Boxster has received an IMS bearing upgrade as well as a new clutch, brakes, tires, headlights, and taillights. Previously sold on PCARMARKET, this 2004 Porsche Boxster is now offered by its second owner out of Florida with approximately 75k miles showing on the odometer.
For the second phase of 986 production, the Boxster received updated styling that more closely resembles the Carrera model. Finished in the traditional shade of Guards Red, this 2004 example was factory optioned with 17" Boxster S II wheels which are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport+ tires from 2021. The seller adds that new LED headlights, taillights, and fog lights were installed in 2022. Light scratches are noted on the spoiler and above the headlight, a collection of detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, you will find a black leather interior with optional heated seats, a CD shelf center console, an onboard computer, and the premium Bose Sound Package. A uniWerks short throw shifter has been installed. The seller reports a small hole in the passenger seat, an intermittent issue with the cupholder, and that clips are used to maintain the headliner. All other gauges and accessories are said to be working properly.
This 986 is equipped with a mid-mounted 2.7-liter flat-six engine that sends up to 228 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. Service items in 2021 are said to include an LN Engineering IMS bearing upgrade, the installation of a new clutch kit and flywheel, a coolant flush and replacement, new front and rear brakes, sensors, and rotors, right window regulator and motor replacement, serpentine belt replaced, and an oil change. Additionally, Porsche of San Diego performed an alignment. Items carried out in 2022 included the replacement of the air/oil separator, an oil change, a coolant flush, as well as the installation of a new heater core. A host of documentation will accompany the sale.
This sale will include a window sticker, owner's manuals and a clean title.

To address the roof comment, I didn’t get around to replacing the roof during my ownership but it probably has a few years left. It’s dry as a button in the cabin during big rainstorms.

Hi all!
Just for everyone’s information, I am only the second owner but transferred the title to Florida when I moved here on a military PCS move. For some reason, CARFAX listed me as the second and third owner.
I bought this vehicle from the original owner on PCARMARKET in May 2021.
