A successor to the iconic Z3, the first-generation BMW Z4 (E85) was the third model in BMW’s line of Z-Series roadsters and featured a larger and stiffer chassis than its predecessor with a multi-link rear suspension, electric power steering, a lightweight aluminum hood, and a magnesium roof frame. This 2005 example comes finished in Maldives Blue Metallic over a Beige Oregon Leather interior and is powered by a 2.5-liter engine paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. It was also optioned with the Sport Package, Premium Package, xenon headlights, and heated power Sport Seats. Supported by a recent service and preserved by a layer of ceramic coating, this well-maintained Z4 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing just over 45k miles on the odometer.

The Z4 Roadster was designed by Anders Warming during the late 1990s and features traditional BMW styling elements including roundel badges on the front fenders and chrome-trimmed front kidney grilles. This example is finished in Maldives Blue Metallic with a Dark Beige convertible top and silver roll hoops behind each headrest. Other details include an integrated trunk lid spoiler, dual exhaust tips, optional xenon headlights, adaptive brake lights, chrome badging, a rear fender-mounted antenna, and factory 17” Style 106 Turbine wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires (4121). The naturally aspirated 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder DOHC M54 engine was rated at 192 HP and 181 lb.-ft of torque and features VANOS variable valve timing. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed automatic transmission. The optional Sport Package includes a lower suspension with stiffer dampers and sway bars along with a Sport button which quickens the electronic throttle response and provides a more direct steering feel. The seller states a 40k-mile service was recently performed and the CARFAX report shows maintenance history including an oil change, brake fluid flush, and wheel alignment in 2022.
