Now available for auction is this 2005 Ferrari F430 Berlinetta finished in Grigio Alloy Metallic. The successor to the 360 Modena, the F430 was unveiled in 2004 with styling by Pininfarina, a naturally aspirated V8 engine, and a host of new technology including an E-Diff active differential, Skyhook electronic suspension, and Ferrari's Manettino steering wheel-mounted control knob.  Featuring rare BBS Challenge wheels and a beautifully appointed Crema/Blue leather interior, this Canadian-market F430 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ontario with approximately 27,000 KM (16,777 miles) showing on the odometer.

This Berlinetta is finished in the desirable and understated shade of Grigio Alloy Metallic (750).  Designed by Pininfarina, the F430 benefited greatly from wind-tunnel testing and advancements in aerodynamic technology from Ferrari’s Formula 1 racing experience. The large intakes in the front bumper promote downforce and cool the F430s radiators, while the intakes on top of the rear fenders help push fresh air towards the engine. The F430 also shares styling elements with some of Ferrari’s greatest cars including the taillights and engine lid grilles from the Enzo, and wing mirrors inspired by the Testarossa.  Factory-applied paint protection film remains behind each of the four wheels and the seller notes the bottom of the front bumper and rear valence to have been previously refinished for cosmetic purposes.  Additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  This example features OEM BBS 19” Ferrari Challenge wheels dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

The cabin is upholstered in Crema leather with Blue Scuro carpeting. The deeply bolstered power-operated sport seats feature contrast piping and embossed Cavallino logos in the headrests. The dashboard, steering wheel, armrests, and door pulls are upholstered in blue leather with contrast stitching. The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel features aluminum paddle shifters, a red engine start button, and the F1-inspired Manettino switch. It sits ahead of a yellow 10k-RPM tachometer and 360-KM speedometer, as well as gauges for coolant and oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. A custom Crema leather-wrapped and ported subwoofer enclosure by BPG Auto Sound is located between the front seats and houses two 8” Focal subwoofers. The seller reports the interior to be free of the sticky buttons commonly found on these cars are reports all accessories and instrumentation to be working properly.

The F430 is powered by a 4.3L quad-cam 32-valve flat-plane crank V8 engine, which was factory rated at 483 HP and 343 lb.-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed F1 automated manual gearbox and an E-Diff active limited-slip differential. This allows the F430 to reach 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 3.6 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200 MPH. The Manettino switch mounted on the steering wheel allows drivers to change the suspension settings, transmission characteristics, throttle response, traction control, and differential settings while underway. The suspension has been lowered and this F430 is said to have been kept up-to-date on maintenance with service records showing replacements of the valve cover gaskets and F1 gearbox pump in recent years. Most of the service has been carried out by Ferrari-Maserati of Vancouver, and the seller also notes the exhaust manifolds to be in good condition. Corresponding invoices are provided for reference in the photo gallery along with a recent multi-point inspection from Dynamic Performance Auto Centre.

This sale will include a set of two keys, original owner's manuals, service records, and a clean title.  Offering a perfect blend of modern technology and classic Ferrari character, this beautifully configured F430 awaits its next owner.

Hello…Could I ask how far you estimate the car is from New York City as Ontario is huge. If you tell me where you are in Ontario, I can google the exact location and get a good idea of the mileage and therefore the transport costs. Many thanks. Magnificent auto!

@drejw2 Yes, I believe it is but contact a specialist, such as (not related to them) Can Am Auto Importers in Kenmore, NY and they will tell you exactly what you need.

The 8th digit of that F430 is an "A" which should make the importation fairly easy.

  • drejw2 (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@WilyB is it needed for US import?

  • Larryking 2 years, 9 monthsago

Can you post paint meter readings.

  • TheDragasAutoGallery (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@WilyB I do not, as those costs may vary depending on which region the car may end up in, new part vs. used part, installer etc. Would be done at new owners discretion. Or may end up being won by a Canadian buyer, who knows!

  • WilyB (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

    Hello,

    Beautiful color combo!

Do you have an approximate idea of the Canadian part and labor cost to switch the KPH speedometer to MPH?

    Thank you.

@greggma I heard no mention of it in the list they provided, and I copied it exactly as they told me. That one you may have to dig up on your own based on your location as well.

  • greggma (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

One more question. My understanding is that the gas guzzler tax will need to be paid (for US import). Did your import broker mention this? I didn’t see it in the itemized list.

  • TheDragasAutoGallery (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@greggma just in the factory locations, behind each wheel, in the scoop on the side skirt, no other damage of any kind. After the sale, buyer can opt to have any paint protection film/coatings installed at their cost, which can be done before car is shipped.

  • greggma (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

Is there any paint protection film currently on the car? Any defects that aren’t pictured (scratches, dents, etc)?

  • LaserGuru 2 years, 9 monthsago

  • TheDragasAutoGallery (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

Letter of compliance I can obtain should the car go to the US, to which it is admissible.

Breakdown of fees are as follows:
    Brokerage Fee: $249
    Processing Fee: $425
    Bonding Fee: $495

In addition to a 2.5% import duties of the sale price of the vehicle.

As for transport/timing that will be subject to change dependent on the purchasers geographic location.

Any other questions I can answer, feel free to reach out and happy bidding, it's almost Ferrari Friday!

  • Nicobex 2 years, 9 monthsago

    Same as many comments here.
What are ballpark numbers on importing in the US? What would need to be done?

  • Speciale458 2 years, 9 monthsago

  • Edelman 2 years, 9 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $30,000

  • Edelman (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@TheDragasAutoGallery I would like to understand the cost and the timing

  • TheDragasAutoGallery (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@greggma the Letter, I am getting word back for. The instrument cluster is indeed km/h only.

  • TheDragasAutoGallery (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@Edelman I can't imagine why it wouldn't be, but I will confirm that as well. As for importing, just like bringing an American car here, will go through a broker to handle the correct paperwork/process as per your states requirements. We have a broker that will handle all that on the buyers behalf should they consummate a purchase.

  • Edelman (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

Can this car be imported into California? What is the process?

  • TheDragasAutoGallery (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@greggma that I can do, clutch is at 85% remaining, and indeed manifolds are originals.

  • greggma (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

Can you also comment on clutch life remaining? I didn’t see any mention of that in the inspection. I saw that the condition of the manifolds was noted as good, but want to confirm that they are stock/original. Thanks!

  • TheDragasAutoGallery (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@greggma not certain on either but will confirm both for you, if the letter is something we can obtain on our end, we will.

  • greggma (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

Do you have a letter from Ferrari stating that the car meets US standards? Or is that the responsibility of the buyer?
Is the speedo in KPH only? Or is MPH included?

  • TheDragasAutoGallery (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@flyingsquirrel indeed it is, I have been waiting for weather to clear up to pull the car out into the light and do just that. We did get some pretty good shots of it but if there are specific areas you would like to see I would be happy to oblige. Thank you!

  • flyingsquirrel (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

Hi and good luck with your auction….Is it possible to get a better picture of the interior.

  • TheDragasAutoGallery (seller) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@Soldmye30m3 Yes to both. Can also assist with any transport/import requirements. We have vetted brokers here on our side that do it all the time in either direction. Thank you for inquiring.

  • Soldmye30m3 (registered bidder) 2 years, 9 monthsago

@TheDragasAutoGallery Does it meet USA federal standards or is there a way to bring it to the USA?

  • malew91 2 years, 9 monthsago

Terrific spec! Grigio Alloy looks amazing on a 430. Might suggest posting photos that better show off the entire seat. GLWA
