It is our pleasure to present this 2005 Ford GT finished in Centennial White with Sonic Blue racing stripes over an Ebony leather interior. Introduced in 2005, the first-generation Ford GT was built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ford and pays homage to the legendary Ford GT40 Mark II race car that won four consecutive 24 Hours of Le Mans races in the late 1960s. The Ford GT was largely considered the first modern supercar out of the United States featuring an aluminum chassis, Brembo brakes, carbon-fiber bucket seats, and a supercharged 5.4L V8 engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. This particular example is one of 503 finished in Centennial White for the model year and was sold new at Able Ford, of Rockville Centre, New York. Optioned with racing stripes and a premium McIntosh stereo, this GT remains part of the original owner's collection and is now being offered for auction with just 9 miles showing on the odometer.

The Camilo Pardo-designed GT features aluminum body panels over an extruded-aluminum space frame, which are finished in Centennial White (WT) with optional Sonic Blue (SN) over-the-top racing stripes and bodyside stripes with “FORD GT” logos. Aerodynamic features include a front splitter, vented hood, a rear lip spoiler, side air intakes, a flat underbody, and a finned rear diffuser. Other exterior equipment consists of a dual center-exit exhaust system, HID headlamps, a forged aluminum fuel door, fog lights, power-adjustable mirrors, and solar-tinted glass. This GT rides on the standard 18”/19” BBS cast-aluminum wheels mounted with original Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires. The car has been kept as part of a climate-controlled collection since new.

The cabin is upholstered in Ebony leather and features manually adjustable Sparco bucket seats with carbon-fiber backings, harness pass-throughs, and GT40-style ventilation grommets. Other details include aluminum-rimmed GT40-style instrumentation, GT40-inspired dash-mounted toggle switches, a cast magnesium center console with rotary climate controls, an aluminum ball shifter, handbrake, and door sill finishers with Ford badges. Driver’s amenities consist of air conditioning, remote keyless entry, push-button ignition, and the optional McIntosh CD stereo which equips a subwoofer mounted between the seats.

The mid-mounted 5.4-liter DOHC V8 features an aluminum block, cylinder heads, and pistons in addition to a Lysholm screw-type supercharger, a dry-sump lubrication system, and a water-to-air intercooler. Factory-rated output was 550 HP and 500 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a Ricardo 6-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential, allowing the GT to reach 60 MPH in as little as 3.3 seconds with a top speed over 200 MPH. The CARFAX report shows a service carried out by Ramp Ford of Port Jefferson Station, New York in July of 2019.

This sale will include a clean title. An incredibly rare find, this virtually undriven Ford GT presents an opportunity that is not to be missed.

A great car. Being a retired high performance driving coach I have been fortunate to have driven a couple of these cars in the "appropriate" place. I cannot imagine owning one however, and NOT driving it. To the new owner.... my suggestion, drive it :) my .02 cents :)
