We are pleased to present this 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster finished in yellow over a black leather interior. Boasting a 6.2L V12 engine and dramatic styling, the Murcielago was debuted as Lamborghini's flagship supercar in 2002. One of less than 50 Roadsters known to have been equipped with a manual transmission for the model year, this 2005 example was purchased new from Lamborghini of Dallas, Texas, featuring an optional font axle lifter as well as an upgraded Larini exhaust system installed by the dealer. Remaining under the care of its original owner, this rare 6-speed Murcielago is now being offered for auction out of Texas with just over 14k miles traveled from new.

The carbon-fiber bodywork is finished in a Lamborghini Giallo (yellow) color with a manually-operable black fabric soft top for use in rain and washing. Equipment includes active side intakes, an electronically-controlled rear spoiler, aluminum scissor doors, yellow brake calipers, and a central exhaust outlet. The factory 18” alloy wheels were powder-coated satin black in 2017 and come dressed in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires from the same year. The seller reports the front bumper has been refinished to address road-going wear and notes the right taillight assembly was replaced by Lamborghini of Dallas in 2005. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is upholstered in black leather with yellow contrast stitching and carbon fiber trim. Features include a 6-speed shift gate and polished gear knob, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, automatic climate control, power accessories, and Murcielago-branded treadplates. Sticky buttons were replaced by Lamborghini Dallas in 2012 and a custom sound system was installed in 2005 including an Alpine flip-out head unit, JL Audio amplifiers in the front storage compartment inside a custom enclosure, upgraded speakers, and a 10” subwoofer mounted between the seats. The instrument panel was replaced at 3,441 miles in March of 2007 by Lamborghini Dallas and currently displays approximately 11k miles. Corresponding documentation from Lamborghini Customer Relations is provided in the gallery along with an odometer replacement sticker confirming the mileage when replaced.

The Murcielago is powered by a mid-mounted 6.2L V12 engine which produces up to 572 HP and 479 lb.-ft of torque stock. An upgraded Larini exhaust system was fitted by Lamborghini Dallas in 2005 and all four wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission. The Roadster can reach 60 MPH from a standstill in just 3.8 seconds with a top speed over 200 MPH.  The seller has provided all maintenance documents since their original purchase including a major service by Norwood Auto Italia of Carrollton, Texas in March of 2021 with a new accessory belt, brake system flush, an oil and filter change, and exchanges of the coolant, clutch, and transmission fluids.

This sale will include the removable black soft top, original radio and CD changer, a car cover, a battery charging system, service records, manuals, a set of two keys, and a clean title.

@Lambogas bold statement but this should be going for much, much more. Having specced/purchased 2 as new (1 reg, 1 lp640 — no longer own either) I will say they are the best V12 drivers of this era. Butter smooth gated shifts an absolute joy to drive.

For whatever its worth I am throwing in my 2 Cents worth , I have known this car since it was new , I ordered the car for George and serviced it , you wont find a better cared for manual gear box Murci Roadster on the planet.

I thought that someone would have asked about the Odometer, but since no one has mentioned it, I wanted to explain what happened and why it was replaced
Just before the 2-year warranty period was up, the needle on the speedometer would bounce a little. I asked the Lamborghini Dealership about it, and they said that the issue would probably go away on its own. I asked them what if it doesn’t and the warranty period is up, they said that I would have to pay for an instrument cluster replacement (you cannot replace individual components in the pod, the entire instrument pod has to be replaced) which was around $2,500. So, I told them to replace it under warranty.
There was never an issue with the odometer not working. The odometer always worked fine, it was just the occasional bouncing speedometer needle, In the letter from Lamborghini North America, they said that the statement on the warranty ticket claimed that the speedometer would not go over 80 or under 30, but it was simply flickering a little at various speeds for a couple of times when I drove the car until they replaced the instrument pod
My biggest concern was when Lamborghini said that they couldn’t just replace the speedometer that they would have to replace the entire instrument cluster. I wanted to make sure that it was clear that there was never an odometer issue and that the true mileage was known and documented by as many people as possible. PCAR MARKET redacted all of the names, email addresses and contact information in all of the letters and documentation that I added to the gallery. All of the unredacted letters and documents with all of the names, email addresses and contact information from Lamborghini Dallas, Lamborghini North America and Car Fax will go to the new owner with the car and all of the accessories in the photo galleries.

@Flsupraguy @Flsupraguy-I just spoke to James from Norwood Auto (Carrollton, Texas) to ask him if there was a way to get a clutch life reading on a 6-speed manual. He said that there is not a way to do that. If it was an E-gear, he could get a clutch life. You are more than welcome to speak to James about the car. He is very familiar with it. All the work that has been done to the car over the last few years has been done by Norwood Auto. All of the service work (receipts) done to the car by Norwood Auto and Lamborghini Dallas is in the pictures in the gallery here

  • Flsupraguy (registered bidder) 2 years, 1 monthago

Can you please post the current clutch life reading?

@SofiaLeo The car has never been in any accidents.
The only paintwork that the car has had, was two months ago, there were a few rock chips on the front bumper and a few scratches under the front bumper. I had the bumper removed and painted with the 3 stage factory paint
The car has not been driven since
There are no chips or scratches anywhere on the car
