Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black full leather interior, this 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe is said to be one of only 700 examples produced during the 996’s final model year. It was factory-equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, optional heated seats with lumbar support, the Bose High-End Sound Package, Xenon Headlamp Package, and Exclusive stainless-steel exhaust pipes. It benefits from an LN Engineering IMS bearing retrofit, a new clutch, and rear main seal and has been upgraded with Racing Dynamics headers, a Fister-modified exhaust, a Flat 6 Motorsports cold air intake, a 997 GT3 short shifter, and a Porsche Classic PCCM Plus head unit. Extensively serviced and showing under 41k miles on the odometer, this C4S is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Indiana.

Compared to a standard 996 Carrera, the 4S features wider fenders and a unique rear reflector band along with side skirts, bumpers, and red brake calipers shared with the 911 Turbo. This Coupe is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and is equipped with optional xenon headlamps, stainless steel exhaust pipes, and 18” 911 Turbo wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The seller indicates new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were mounted less than a year ago, the headlight housings have been custom painted, and a few small imperfections are present in the paint as well as some scrapes on the plastic front lip spoiler. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARAFX report.

This 996 features a Black full leather interior including a matching Alcantara headliner and optional heated front seats with lumbar support. Other accessories include dual-zone automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. An upgraded Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) Plus head unit has been installed which features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. An upgraded Porsche 997 GT3 short shifter has also been installed along with a 996 GT3 Alcantara shift boot and gear knob. Some signs of wear are present, and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

This Carrera 4S is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine rated at 315 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission while stopping power comes from Turbo-spec fixed 4-piston brakes and 330mm cross-drilled discs at each corner. The car received an LN Engineering IMS bearing retrofit, a new rear main seal, and a new clutch under current ownership along with upgraded Racing Dynamics headers, a Fister exhaust modification, and a Flat 6 Motorsports cold air intake. Notable service items include the replacement of the spark plugs, front differential fluid, transmission fluid, brake fluid, a coolant flush, a new O2 sensor, serpentine belt, and pulleys. The seller adds that the car’s original parts are included in the sale and over $12k was invested in service and upgrades during their ownership.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, service records, and a clean title.

    @Bennhct Actually now I remember Autometrics did recommend to change the ignition coils because there was an updated part number available that was better and more reliable so I had them do that as long with the spark plugs also. I definitely could tell the difference in throttle response, more responsive and stronger top end.

  • StayclassySanDiego1 (seller) 7 months, 2 weeksago

    @Bennhct Thank you for your comment. Your C2 sounds awesome.

    No rips on any of thr seats. Wear is not bad at all and seats hug me nice and keep me planted. Bolsters still good. I will take some more pics of the seats and upload today.

    The car has no paint protection just wax.

    Never done an oil analysis but i have changed the oil and filter a couple times since autometrics did all the work on the car to see of there was anything in the filter and clean out any gunk from previous ownerships, there was not any metal. I have a lift and it is easy for me to change the oil. I also prefer to use motul or castrol 5w40.

    No other repairs were suggested. In fact i was the one who asked them to change all the fluids. Haha. I thought why not.

    Runs great!!! Very reliable. Sounds amazing. Very dialed in.

    Great looking car with all the right maintenance. I sold my 2001 C4 this week(60000 miles) to a dear friend who needed it more then me, and need a daily driver for the northeast winter. Really want a 996 C4S to go along with the 2005 (997) C2S heavily modified (headers, exhaust, coilovers, tuned,€etc). It’s not driveable in winter weather. It’s actually terrifying.

    I’m so excited I found your auction. The 2001 996 C4 was my most reliable car of out all that I owned and I regret my diehard BMW online stance up until 2019 when I got my first Porsche.

    How bad is the wear on the driver seat (other seats)? One pic shows what I think is a shadow but could be a rip.

    Any paint protection film on the car?

    Have you ever done an oil analysis when doing an oil change? Any metal in the oil?

    When all the work was done (IMS, RMS, clutch, etc) were any other repairs suggested?)

    Thanks in devance.love the car.

    @StayclassySanDiego1 thank you for the quick reply. Beautiful car!
    PS - love the name lol

  • StayclassySanDiego1 (seller) 7 months, 2 weeksago

    @AA_911 Yes, works great. Love the sunroof. I will send a video of it operating.

    No known issues, as you can see from my maintenance receipts i definitely did not go cheap on maintenance. Ha!

  • AA_911 (registered bidder) 7 months, 2 weeksago

    Any known flaws with the car? Sunroof work ok?

  • StayclassySanDiego1 (seller) 7 months, 2 weeksago

    @zamborg 1st video windows open(hissing), 4th video from the top windows shut (no hissing). Wanted to show the difference in sound. Sounds so good but not too loud. :) hope this helps.

  • StayclassySanDiego1 (seller) 7 months, 2 weeksago

    @zamborg I think I got up to 75mph.. oops.

  • StayclassySanDiego1 (seller) 7 months, 2 weeksago

    @zamborg thank you!

    Yes it is actually from me opening the windows! I should have been more descriptive in the videos. There is one video that has the windows shut, i wanted to show that there is no drone. The video you are referring to has the windows open, hence the hisskmg noise! : )

  • zamborg (registered bidder) 7 months, 2 weeksago

    Looks great! there is a hissing noise in your first video after the car reaches ~30 mph do you know what that is? Seems to go away at the end of the video after the roundabout when the car drops in speed.

    Hi my name is Luke, thank you for your interest. Please do not hesitate to reach me anytime with questions.

    A little about me. I am a business owner in the Midwest, Husband and Father of 4 little ones. I have always loved cars and worked on them with my dad and brother from a young age always enjoyed reading Car & Driver.

    This 996 is my 2nd 996 I have owned and 4th 911 I have owned. I owned an 04 C4s, an 08 C4S and a 12 991 Carrera. I say this only so you know that I take care of my cars and know enough about them. I regretted selling my first 996 and always wanted another which led me to this 996 you see here. I purchased the car while I was living in South Carolina and drove it more often in the nicer weather but up here in Indiana, and with my young kids, I feel it is time to sell. I have put so much into this car, with service records that I can share. I need my cars to be in tip top shape.

    Whoever gets this 996 at any price, in my opinion, is getting a steal in this current market. Incredible race car that you can drive daily and all the maintenance has been done by top notch mechanics! Autometrics in summerville, south carolina is the premiere porsche mechanic in south carolina. They store and maintain over 100 porsches throughout the year and transport them to tracks all over the south for the owners to race. https://www.autometricsmotorsports.com/ The Radio is very nice with the bluetooth feature to connect your music to your phone as well. I could go on and on, wonderful car. Will be missed!
