Produced solely for the 2005 model year, the 996 Turbo S features the X50 Turbo Powerkit and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). One of 963 Turbo S Cabriolets built, this rare example is further distinguished by a 6-speed manual transmission. Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Black full leather upholstery, it features heated front seats, exclusive stainless steel exhaust pipes, and more. Having spent most of its time as part of a collection, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey with less than 1k miles showing on the odometer.
Sporting wide bodywork, the Turbo S differs from the standard 996 Turbo by silver badging on the rear decklid and yellow-painted calipers as part of its ceramic brake system. This example comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic (92U) with a black convertible soft top. Equipment includes xenon headlights, fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and optional exclusive stainless steel exhaust pipes. It rides on 18” Turbo Twist wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires mounted in April 2023. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the cabin presents Black full leather upholstery with matching Porsche-lettered floor mats. Amenities include driver’s seat memory functions, a CD stereo, a remote CD changer, a Bose sound system, automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and optional heated front seats.
The Turbo S features the X50 Turbo Powerkit which equips its 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine with larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers along with a revised ECU and exhaust system. Up to 450 HP is sent to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) come standard and include larger 6-piston monobloc front calipers and cross-drilled 350mm ceramic discs at the front and rear. The seller adds that the oil was changed and the hood struts were replaced in April 2023.
This sale will include a clean title.

Good luck to all. You're not finding another like this I can assure you of that. It looks, smells, and feels as new. The leather is perfect. Two big collector owners prior to us. Superbly looked after climate control stored vehicle. A car like this will only continue to appreciate!

@Urelfer yes, bid as if everything were perfect because it is. No seller (including you I am sure) would offer a one year warranty on a 2005 vehicle.
Fair, I'll bid accordingly.
@Urelfer everything on the car works perfectly. It would not take a year to determine this. I have an exceptional reputation dealing with some of the lowest mileage vehicles in the nation. I am telling you everything works as new.
@Urelfer no. I dont know anyone who would do that sorry
Exquisite automobile really timeless

@seller: Perfect, thank you for this information. Would you be able then to give a warranty like on a new car, which this one almost is, for let's say 12 months? Just to make sure that everything, brakes, dampers etc. work as expected? I'm ready to bid for this great car. Thanks for your reply.
Bid in the amount of $65,000
This car has had any preventative maintenance done under previous ownership and has a binder of those records. let’s please not try and suggest that this car has degraded due to not having the brake fluid changed. This car is owned by a serious collector that took exceptional care of the car.
@lennon997: As you say, it's not the wear that creates problems with most machines that are not used for decades, but seals, gaskets will dry out and eventually leak. I've seen brand-new crate engines that have been properly stored for 20+ years and needed a complete overhaul for different reasons. Also, brake calipers and other hydraulic components etc. do not like not beeing used for extended periods of time.
Bid in the amount of $60,750
@shamansky we're closed today unfortunately. This car is literally as new in every which way. Body, interior, underbody, etc. It's the best example on the planet. You win it and find an issue with it you do not need to buy it no worries at all
Is the car available in for inspection today prior to bidding?
@Bluesky lol, with 990 miles it wouldn't have gone up and down enough to begin to leak
The cosmoline has a nice patina to it :)
Back when, the Turbo S, was made for the last models instead of right out the gate. Fantastic, collector-museum quality car right here!
@Mercyhealth the Mezger motor is what really matters here. The headlight style also no longer bothers me like it did and I now have about 10 996's in my own collection and really enjoy them. This car is an incredible investment. Not that I personally would rack the miles onto this car, but if one wanted it's one of the best driving vehicles Porsche ever produced.
@RehovLLC12 the turbo S was the last 911 S that had a manual available. And with less than 1000 cabs produced some would say that makes them much more valuable. If it wasn’t for those darn headlamps!!!
@VantageAuto thank you.
I didn’t know a turbo s ever came in manual??
@Abuong01 these did not come with a hardtop
@Bluesky yes I believe so, I know they have been on one of the turbos we have. If it was not this one I can tell you they have no leaks. This car is 10!

I welcome everyone to the auction of one of the lowest mileage 05 Turbo S Cabriolets on the face of the planet.
This car is literally like new. The body, interior, underbody, you name it. It’s been serviced under previous ownership as well. Always climate control stored by the past owners. The Carfax on this one is misleading as it was only two actual owners. One of the "owners" shown was just changing the title from a company name to an individuals.
I will let the photos do the talking here. To anyone who wants to own what is without a doubt one of the very best, this is certainly it. 2005 was the final year that the 996 body was produced and I am quite confident that this cars value will appreciate as the hands of time tick on.
Add this to your collection or enjoy a like new 996 Turbo S. It’s ready for either!
Please tag @VantageAuto with any questions and I will get right back to you
Best,
Andrew
