It is our pleasure to present this incredibly rare 2005 Porsche 996 Turbo S Cabriolet 6-speed finished in Atlas Grey Metallic over a black full leather interior with the Dark Wood Package.  Offered for one year only and considered among the most highly collectible Porsches of the modern era, the 996 Turbo S came standard with PCCB ceramic composite brakes, aluminum instrument dials, and the X50 Performance Package.  This particular example also came factory optioned with 18” GT3 wheels, Porsche crested headrests, supple leather seats, and a Sport Shifter.  Additionally, it has been upgraded with a CROSS coil-over suspension as well as an EvoMS Stage 4 kit which includes an ECU upgrade, sport exhaust, high-flow cats, K24 turbos, headers, and more.  With just under 17k miles traveled from new, this Turbo S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee.

This example is finished in Atlas Grey Metallic with a black Cabriolet top, and the paint is reported to be entirely original and in excellent condition. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean title.  In addition to its widened body styling, this Turbo S is distinguished by its yellow Porsche ceramic composite brakes (PCCB) which are tucked behind factory exclusive 18” GT3 wheels that will come dressed in brand new OEM-spec Pirelli P-Zero tires.

Inside, you will find a black full leather interior complemented by the optional Dark Wood Package.  At an original sticker price of over $147k, this Turbo S also features supple leather front and rear seats, front seat heating and lumbar support, a Sport Shifter, a 3-spoke steering wheel in Dark Wood and leather, Porsche crested headrests, and Dark Wood/aluminum trim on the shifter and brake handle.  The cabin is described to be in very nice condition while retaining the full functionality of all gauges and accessories.

The 3.6 L twin-turbocharged Mezger engine in this Turbo S came factory equipped with the X50 Performance Package which resulted in a stock output of 444 HP, an increase of 25 HP over the standard Turbo.  All four wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual gearbox.  Nearly $24k is said to have been invested in performance upgrades including CROSS coil-overs and upgraded control arms, H&R sway bars, and an Evo carbon strut tower brace. An EvoMS Stage 4 kit has also been installed that includes an upgraded ECU, intake, sport exhaust, high-flow cats, K24 headers and turbos, and billet diverter valves.  A dyno-test yielded an output of 504 HP at the wheels and invoices are included for the aforementioned upgrades.  A wheel alignment has been recently carried out and the seller reports this 996 to be in excellent running order.  Some service history is available on CARFAX and the seller has offered to accommodate a pre-purchase inspection for any potential buyer.

This sale will include a set of 2 master keys, 1 valet key, owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, some records, and a clean title.  A true collector's item with performance upgrades that will satisfy any avid driving enthusiast, this rare 16k-mile 996 Turbo S presents an opportunity that is not to be missed.

  • TheDallasCollector (registered bidder) 3 years, 1 monthago

@Wkstatt9 @CHARRIS1003 I 100% agree, 4 is not many at all for a 15 year old car. Thanks for posting the DME too!

Cold start and driving videos added. Car just received new p zeros, alignment, and major service as advertised. Terrible day for a driving video, I did my best.

    Thanks!

  • PCARMARKET 3 years, 1 monthago

A new video along with a DME reading have been added to the listing.

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@TheDallasCollector also, 4 owners isn’t many for an 05 Porsche

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@TheDallasCollector sure. You know a 996 only shows ranges 1 and 2, correct?

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@xturbo not to my knowledge nor do I have documentation of it being done

  • TheDallasCollector (registered bidder) 3 years, 1 monthago

Will OverRev report be posted? It’s a fair question to ask of a used/modified car of 4 owners. Thank you

@Wkstatt9 @CHARRIS1003 It appears that the pictures are not loaded yet. I was curious if the passenger side readings are consistent with the drivers side. 4 - 5 mil? Thanks.

  • MezgerTT (registered bidder) 3 years, 1 monthago

    @Wkstatt9 @CHARRIS1003 Thank you.

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@PCARMARKET Just emailed the 16 readings from the passenger side. Duplicates were added. Please upload the ones in the new email ASAP.

  • PCARMARKET 3 years, 1 monthago

Additional paint meter readings have been added to the listing

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@MezgerTT Just spoke with them and they are uploading passenger side meter readings. Thanks for bringing to my attention

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@MezgerTT I submitted 15 pictures of passenger side paint meter readings. I'm not sure why they did't add them. Calling them now

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@MezgerTT Its dust, not rock chips

  • MezgerTT (registered bidder) 3 years, 1 monthago

@CHARRIS1003 One last thing, it appears you posted paint meter readings of the hood and the driver’s side of the car. Do you have any paint meter readings for the passenger side, unless I missed them?

  • MezgerTT (registered bidder) 3 years, 1 monthago

@CHARRIS1003 Like the car and mods don’t bother me. Quick question. In picture 72, I believe the front of the hood is shown and it appears to have white spots or chips. I was curious if you could clarify what is there and if permanent, how apparent it is in person. Thank you.

@Wkstatt9 @CHARRIS1003 your car is a rare bird. Only about 1500 turbo SCs were produced so please don’t let this one fly away without a battle. I’m more of a sun roof delete guy but at this LOW a bid this far I can be persuaded.

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@Hratcht Yes, major service and alignment are being completed today as promised. We will get one up.

  • Hratcht (registered bidder) 3 years, 1 monthago

Are the requested videos going to be made available?

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@xturbo of course it has air conditioning.

  • xturbo (registered bidder) 3 years, 1 monthago

I don't see air conditioning listed?

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

    @DihedralSynchroHelix No sir, I'm a fan though!

@Wkstatt9 @CHARRIS1003 Is this THE Chris Harris?

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@dzadik IMS failure was never an issue in 996/997 turbo and GT cars. It’s a totally different motor

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@dzadik you realize it’s a completely different motor than the m96 in the non turbo/Gt cars. IMS has never been an issue in the mezger motor.

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

    @dzadik on a mezger motor??

  • dzadik (registered bidder) 3 years, 1 monthago

During all the engine modification did you ever replace the IMS bearing?

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@Carguy48 I will upload paint meter readings in the morning. We were really pressed to get photos and the listing live. As far as the miles are concerned I do not have that answer, my personal 07 GT3RS just turned 8300. It’s relatively common for these cars to not have traveled many miles.

  • Carguy48 (registered bidder) 3 years, 1 monthago

Seller: any idea why so few miles? DME report? Any track time? Assuming no as it’s a cab. Where are the paint meter readings mentioned in the write up? Hard to believe 444hp wasn’t enough for original owner.

Are you going to make any cold start and driving videos available? Gorgeous presentation.

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@ccbbaa I’m sure there is a contact seller button here. I’ve sold multiple times on BAT but not here.

  • ccbbaa (registered bidder) 3 years, 1 monthago

Looks like a great car - how would you like us to contact you to arrange a PPI?

  • Nadir 3 years, 1 monthago

@Wkstatt9 @CHARRIS1003 Thank you. I am based in the UK, and will look at the auction with interest, depending on the price etc.

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@Nadir Sharkwerks represents evolution motorsports. They sell from their site. I have a gt3rs personally and purchased a tune from Alex. There are many reputable shops that download these and Sharkwerks is there for support. Bid with confidence. It doesn't make sense for owners to ship cars, sometimes across the country for a tune.

  • Nadir 3 years, 1 monthago

Thank you, that is really excellent preparation and sets a high standard. I will consider my options and see what this car runs up to in price, but I certainly agree with you that the 996 turbo S model is undervalued.
I am always hesitant with modified cars unless they are done by a specialist like Shark Werks in the US or garages that specialise in cars like 928 Motorsports, but this appears to well done.
    Thank you

  • Wkstatt9 (seller) 3 years, 1 monthago

@Nadir Thanks for the question, modifications were done in 4/2006. Per the Carfax the car would've had between 4500-4900 miles. there is an attached dyno sheet that shows 504hp to the wheels. We have brand new p zeros being installed next week and the car will have analignment and fresh major service since we do not have record of it being completed

  • Nadir 3 years, 1 monthago

    Hello
At what mileage were the engine modifications done?
What are the estimated bhp and torque figures now?
When was the last full service?
    Thank you
    Nadir
