An evolution of the preceding 996 generation, the Porsche 997 Carrera debuted with significant design changes including interior and exterior updates along with increased power output. This 2005 Carrera Cabriolet features a 6-speed manual transmission, an Atlas Grey Metallic finish, and Stone Grey leather upholstery. It was also optioned with the Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bose High-End Sound Package, Power Seat Package, a painted rear center console, and more. Showing approximately 75k miles on the odometer, this two-owner example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of North Carolina.
This 997 comes finished in Atlas Grey Metallic with a black cabriolet top and features the optional Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package. Equipment includes front-integrated fog lights, headlight washers, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. The factory 19” Carrera III wheels come dressed in Continental Extreme Contact tires. The seller notes the front bumper appears to have been refinished, and some imperfections are present including a ding on the trunk lid. The cabin presents Stone Grey standard leather upholstery. Optional equipment includes heated front seats, the Power Seat Package, seatbelts in Silver, a painted rear center console, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. This first-generation 997 Carrera is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine paired with a desirable 6-speed manual gearbox. Rated at 325 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, it sends power to the rear wheels allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 5 seconds. The seller adds that the water pump was replaced in April 2021, and the CARFAX report shows a history of routine oil services.

@Grandall005 The front left tire is from 37th week of 2018, the rear left tire is from 3rd week of 2021, the front right tire is from 37th week of 2018, the rear right tire is from 27th week of 2019. The brakes look to have around 50% left for both front and rear.

Thanks for the answer on the top, looks like the tires are from 2013, is that right? Hard to read the codes in the pics, and a good bit of rust in the lugs. Can you give us any idea of last tire change and brake work?
@Niko_lanzi This is the original cabriolet top, I do not see any need for replacement or have any prior records of replacement either.

@audios22 The clutch feels to have plenty of life. Although the vehicle was serviced often, I do not have any records of the IMS bearing being replaced.
@Seller, can you please confirm on the IMS update (or not)?
Also, I did see the cracking of the leather in the driver's bolster. This is easily repaired with a leather repar kit. I'v done it to my 986 (black interior) and it works extremely well A good DIY project to save the leather.
didn't see any mention of clutch or IMS updates. So I would assume, none of these two items were addressed?
