Now up for auction is this 2005 Porsche 997 Carrera S Coupe finished in Speed Yellow over a black interior with Adaptive Sport Seats. Representing the inaugural model year for the 997 generation, this Carrera S was sold at an original sticker price of over 89k and comes factory equipped with the Bose High-End Sound Package, Sport Chrono Package Plus, heated front seats, and a Tiptronic S automatic gearbox paired with its 3.8L flat-six engine. Just recently, this example has been treated a full engine rebuild including an EPS IMS bearing upgrade and direct oil feed. Now showing just over 99k miles on the odometer, with barely any miles driven since the engine rebuild, this Carrera S is being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
The eye-catching Speed Yellow finish is complemented by custom removable GT3 RS-style side graphics and gloss-black painted factory 19” Carrera S wheels with colored Porsche center crests. Aftermarket carbon fiber exhaust tips have also been installed along with custom rear Porsche lettering, window tint, and aftermarket LED taillights. Only minor cosmetic imperfections are reported, and a clean CARFAX is provided in the photo gallery.
Inside, you will find a black interior with Adaptive Sport Seats and aftermarket carbon door handles. From the factory, this 997 features heated front seats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and the Sport Chrono Package Plus which adds a functional lap timer to the center of the dashboard. Some signs of wear are visible on the seats and center console.
The 3.8L flat-six engine in this first-generation 997 was factory rated at 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission. Compared with the base model, this Carrera S is equipped as standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). Additionally, it has been optioned with the Sport Chrono Package Plus which enables variable performance and suspension damping settings. The engine in this example was just recently rebuilt by Vertex Auto including a new air/oil separator, rear main seal, and EPS IMS bearing upgrade with direct oil feed. Only test drive miles have been added since the engine rebuild and all other available service history is provided on CARFAX.

@donspaulding All of our rebuilt engines come with a 1 year/10,000 mile warranty. The same would be for this one. I submitted paint meter readings. No signs of paint work or collision repair. The Carfax is clean as well. No flood damage either. Clean title.
@bigdaddy21 We just summited pics of the bottom side if the engine and transmission. We also submitted paint meter readings and some frunk pictures. I'm sure @pcar will have them up shortly.
Whats going on with the interior? No photos of driver side and passenger seat upholstery looks distorted. Terrible photos.
@donspaulding Vertex is the rebuilder and seller. They do these all the time.
