We are pleased to present this 2006 BMW E46 M3 finished in Silver Grey Metallic over a Light Grey Nappa leather interior. Representing the third generation of the legendary M3, the E46 is often regarded as a high point for BMW in design, build quality, and performance. This final-year example was ordered with the Competition Package (ZCP), an option that equips cross-drilled brake rotors derived from the European-market M3 CSL, 19-inch forged alloy wheels, a specially tuned suspension, and Alcantara suede trim throughout the cabin. Said to have been maintained to a very high standard and accompanied by a binder of service records, this E46 M3 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Utah showing approximately 82k miles on the odometer.
This Silver Grey Metallic M3 can be differentiated from a standard E46 by its wider fender flares, side air vents, revised front bumper, mirrors, rear valence, and signature M-Power quad-tip exhaust. The finish is described to be in good overall condition, apart from minor signs of road-going wear on the front bumper, a few small rock chips on the hood and front fenders, and a small touched-up chip on the driver’s side quarter panel. As shown on CARFAX, the seller reports the front bumper was damaged while the vehicle was parked in 2013 and was subsequently replaced and refinished along with the driver’s side front fender. Detailed images are provided in the gallery. This M3 wears its original Competition Package 19” forged BMW Style 127 wheels, which are currently dressed in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires showing date codes from 2016.
The cabin is upholstered in Light Grey Nappa leather (N5TT) and features deeply bolstered 14-way power M-Sport seats with matching door panels and carpeting. Competition Package Milled-Effect Aluminum trim lines the dashboard, center console, and door panels. The Competition Package also provides a thickened Alcantara-wrapped multi-function M-Sport steering wheel along with a matching Anthracite headliner and handbrake lever. Standard features include a glass sunroof, pop-out rear quarter windows, a Harmon Kardon hi-fi sound system, and a BMW MK4 navigation system. The seller notes some wear on the driver’s seat and shift knob and confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
Power comes from the venerable 3.2L S54 inline-six, which makes up to 333 HP and 269 lb.-ft of torque. Regarded as one of BMW’s greatest engine designs, the S54 utilizes motorsport technology including individual throttle bodies, quasi-dry sump lubrication, and double VANOS variable valve timing. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The E46 M3 is capable of accelerating from 0-60 MPH in approximately 5 seconds while reaching an electronically governed top speed of 155 MPH. The Competition Package equips larger two-piece cross-drilled rotors, a reduced steering ratio, and an M Track Mode that raises the threshold in which the Dynamic Stability Control will intervene. A history of maintenance dating back to 2012 is said to be available with records showing routine service including a valve adjustment in 2018. The seller reports no cracks in the subframe mounting points, no VANOS faults, and a healthy oil analysis that suggested no rod bearing issues. Images of the undercarriage are available for reference in the gallery.
This sale will include floor mats and a clean title. Widely regarded as BMW's “Ultimate Driving Machine”, this E46 M3 Competition presents a great opportunity to own an increasingly valuable modern classic.

@Beandip83 Yup, that tire is toast.
Am I seeing things or is the inside of the left front tire bare. Don’t see too many clean, post-2003 era e46 m3s with the comp package.
