Introduced in 2006, BMW’s second-generation M Roadster is based upon the Z4 (E85) and powered by a naturally aspirated S54 engine shared with the contemporary E46 M3 model. This 2006 example is one of 3,042 M Roadsters produced for North America and comes finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over black Nappa leather upholstery. It was cared for by two previous owners and was subject to a recent service including valve adjustments, valve cover gasket replacement, and a brake fluid flush. This Z4 M Roadster is now being offered for auction by a BMW specialist out of North Carolina Showing just over 54k miles on the odometer.
The M Roadster rides on a wider track than a standard Z4 and features a more aggressive front bumper, sculpted bonnet, and quad exhaust outlets. This example is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic with a black retractable convertible top, xenon headlamps, and factory 18” Style 224 wheels. The seller states new Michelin Pilot Sport tires have been installed in front and the matching rear tires show production date codes from 2016. A few small dents are noted on the passenger door as well as a small dent on the driver’s front fender and a small chip on the lower lip of the front bumper, which has been touched up and photographed. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
The black Nappa leather interior features brushed aluminum trim heated and power-operated M Sports seats, an M sport leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, a navigation system, and a HiFi sound system. Some signs of wear are noted on the steering wheel and the front storage compartment lid has a broken tab.
The Z4 M Roadster shares its celebrated 3.2-liter S54 inline-six engine with the E46 M3, featuring six individual throttle bodies, double-VANOS variable valve timing, and an output of 338 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed ZF manual transmission with a limited-slip differential borrowed from the M3. The M Roadster also shares the M3’s hydraulic steering rack, rear subframe, and front control arms. The seller states recent service included valve adjustments, valve cover gasket replacement, a brake fluid flush, and an oil change.

I think there is a typo in the description as it states 338 HP. Having owned one of these that caught my eye as I always understood it to be 330 HP, so I looked it up and this is the spec. Power (SAE net): 330 bhp @ 7900 rpm.
Torque (SAE net): 262 lb-ft @ 4900 rpm.
