Up for auction is this 2006 Cadillac XLR finished in Infrared over a Shale leather interior.  Built alongside the C5 Corvette in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the XLR was introduced in 2004 as Cadillac’s luxury roadster with numerous amenities including a power-retractable hardtop, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, and Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension.  The XLR Registry shows this 2006 example, #4032, to have been under the ownership of a Cadillac dealer in Texas from new up until 2015 when it was offered with 1 previous owner listed.  Powered by a 4.6 L Northstar V8 engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transaxle, this XLR is now being offered by its 4^th owner in Texas while showing approximately 48k miles on the odometer.

The composite bodywork is finished in Infrared and the paint is shown to be in excellent condition except for a few imperfections on the rear bumper as can be seen in the photo gallery.  Some notable features include a signature “Egg Crate” front grille, a power-retractable hardtop, quad exhaust tips, and 18” polished alloy wheels.

Inside, this XLR highlights a Shale leather interior with decorative Eucalyptus wood trim and Bulgari-branded instrumentation.  Creature comforts include adaptive cruise control, dual-zone climate control, keyless access with push-button start, heated and power-adjustable seats, Bose premium audio, and rear parking sensors.  The cabin is noted to be in good condition with the exception of some wear on the driver’s seat bolster and damage to the trim near the driver’s side of the gear selector.

Power comes from a Northstar 4.6L V8 engine with variable valve timing, that offers an output of 320 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque at the rear wheels.  A 5-speed automatic transaxle provides for a 0-60 time of approximately 5.8 seconds.  Standard performance features include speed-sensitive power steering, traction control, Stabilitrak stability control, and 4-wheel independent suspension with active Magnetic Ride Control.  A new radiator is said to have been installed under the current ownership and a CARFAX is provided for reference in the photo gallery showing a history of maintenance.
