Now available for auction is this 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 finished in Velocity Yellow over a Ebony leather interior.  The C6 generation Z06 arrived on the scene for the 2006 model year featuring the lightest curb weight in the model range and the largest-displacement small-block engine ever produced at the time. The two-owner 2006 example was acquired by the current owner in 2015 with less than 5k miles on the odometer. It comes equipped with  the 2LZ Preferred Equipment Group, factory polished Speedline wheels, a navigation system, and more. Now it is being offered here for auction by its seller out of Michigan, while showing just under 11k miles on the odometer.

The C6 Z06 utilizes lightweight carbon fiber for wider front fenders, and features an intake inlet scoop on the front bumper, and ducts in the rear fenders to aid in cooling the rear brakes. This example comes finished in Velocity Yellow and is said to remain in excellent overall condition aside from two small paint chips. Other equipment includes xenon headlights, front fog lights, a quad-tip exhaust, and a set of staggered 18"/19” polished Speedline wheels which come dressed in a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires

The cabin is trimmed in Ebony leather and features a pair of adjustable sport bucket seats with perforated leather inserts and Z06 embroideries in the headrests. Standard features include a head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cruise control. The optional 2LZ Preferred Equipment Group adds the Bose premium seven-speaker sound system, a power telescoping steering wheel, heated seats, steering wheel mounted audio controls, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and driver memory settings. The seller confirms that all gauges, lights, and features remain fully functional.

Power comes from a hand-built naturally aspirated 7.0L LS7 V8 engine rated at up to 505 HP and 470 lb.-ft of torque. The LS7 uses a dry sump oiling system, and connecting rods made out of titanium alloy. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transaxle with a transmission cooler and limited-slip differential. The Z06 employs a plethora of weight saving and performance enhancing features including balsa wood/carbon fiber composite floors, a magnesium alloy engine cradle, an aluminum chassis with fixed roof, and larger 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers and stiffer suspension than non Z06 Corvettes. Regular service is said to have been carried out under current ownership, with the most recent having been in April of 2021 though a Chevrolet dealership.
