Now available for auction is this 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 finished in Black over a two-tone Ebony and Titanium leather interior. The C6 generation Z06 arrived for the 2006 model year as the lightest Corvette available and with an LS7 7.0L V8, the largest-displacement small-block engine ever produced at the time. This launch-year example was sold new from Jim Glover Chevrolet of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has remained registered with its original owner in Florida ever since. Recently serviced and with under 500 miles showing on the odometer, this highly collectible 2006 Z06 is being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This Z06 comes finished in Black and features wider front and rear fenders compared to a standard C6 Corvette as well as an intake inlet scoop on the front fascia, a lightweight aluminum frame, and larger spoilers front and rear. Carbon fiber is used for the front fenders while the rear fenders are made from fiberglass and feature integrated cooling ducts for the brakes. Other equipment includes xenon headlights, front fog lights, a quad-tip exhaust, and a set of staggered 18"/19” polished forged wheels dressed in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires. The seats are trimmed in Ebony Black leather with contrasting Titanium Grey accents and Z06 embroideries in the headrests. Features include a head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and a navigation system.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated LS7 7.0L V8 engine rated at up to 505 HP and 470 lb.-ft of torque. The LS7 uses a dry-sump oiling system, titanium alloy connecting rods, and a lightweight magnesium alloy engine cradle. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transaxle with a transmission cooler and limited-slip differential. The Z06 comes standard with larger 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brake calipers as well as a stiffer suspension with larger anti-roll bars. Service carried out in preparation for sale is said to include the installation of a new battery and oil change.
