The Chevrolet Kodiak/GMC TopKick, produced from 1980 to 2009 across three generations, is a medium-duty truck specifically crafted for cargo hauling or construction purposes. This 2006 GMC TopKick C4500 was configured as a crew-cab dually pickup and comes finished in Graystone Metallic over Very Dark Pewter leather upholstery. It is powered by a 6.6L Duramax turbodiesel V8 mated to an Allison 1000-series 6-speed automatic transmission. Having undergone a Chariot conversion, it features a custom hauler bed, step boards, toolboxes, LED lighting, Alcoa wheels, heated & cooled cup holders, heated & massaging front seats, a power-folding rear sofa, a locking safe, and more. Showing approximately 84k miles on the odometer, this C4500 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oklahoma.

This crew cab comes factory-finished in Graystone Metallic and has been fitted with a custom hauler body to accommodate a bumper trailer or a gooseneck trailer on a bed-mounted ball. The added Chariot items include upgraded LED lighting, locking storage boxes within the custom hauler, sidestep boards, and Alcoa wheels dressed in newer tires. Other equipment includes a clamshell hood, quad headlamps & taillights, extended towing mirrors, a headache rack, passenger grab handles, a tow hitch, and chrome accents. The seller notes some clear coat failure on the custom bed top, which the seller has chosen to leave as-is in case the winning bidder would like to refinish it or add spray-on bed liner. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is upholstered in Very Dark Pewter leather and features custom upper & lower consoles, heated & massaging seats, and a power-folding rear sofa. Heated and cooled cup holders have also been added along with LED interior lighting, an overhead television screen, an Alpine XM head unit, Bluetooth connectivity, a CB radio, and a locking safe. Additional features include electronic brake control, a Hydroboost brake booster, air conditioning, cruise control, and rear airbag load assist.

The C4500 is powered by an optional 6.6L Duramax turbodiesel V8 rated at 330 HP and 620 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through an Allison 1000-series 6-speed close-ratio electronically-controlled automatic transmission, which allows for a gross vehicle weight rating of 17,500 lbs. Features include a Dana S14 axle with a 4:56 gear ratio, a rear limited-slip differential, heavy-duty tapered leaf springs, a heavy-duty Delphi battery, an engine exhaust brake, an automatic engine shutdown with alarm, and an auxiliary transmission cooler, in addition to an upgraded fuel and filter systems. The CARFAX report shows a total of 21 service history records, including an oil & filter change and the air filter replaced in July 2023.

This sale will include a clean title and a fifth-wheel plate.

The seller would like you to know:I would not be letting this truck go if I was going to continue with my vintage boating hobby, because it is a very nice truck with very low Milage for this type of truck and chassis, which makes it hard to find and a fraction of the cost of you were to buy a new setup like this. Another great feature of it being a low-mileage 2006 model, is the fact it is Pre DEF fluid, so there is less operating cost and procedures involved, which also makes these earlier bulletproof setups very desirable.”

Again guys. Finding this truck with this Milage is damn near impossible, and they are normally priced well over $50k with 250-300k miles if they are clean at all and a base truck, so don’t miss out on this one.

@Chief Submitted pics, and the Hercules Tires are 3/21 for the production date, while being at about 80% of tread life left, with nice and even wear all the way around.

    Hope that helps.

@Autotrend I was going to respray the top of the bed prior to offering, but I do know many people prefer spray on bed liners, with there also being company’s that offer color match spray liner systems, so I figured it was best to just offer to repaint if that wasn’t the new owners wanted direction.

  • 240zGuild (seller) 3 months, 1 weekago

@Autotrend As offered, we can have the body shop reshoot the top of the bed back to a scanned color match, which would include proper prep work prior to spraying, which the $1k additional cost offer is really fair.

I kept the truck full of diesel for the most part, but it is a dual tank setup with about a 60 gallon setup, which is also running an upgraded fuel filter and water separator setup that eliminates the sometimes problematic original setup.

  • Autotrend (registered bidder) 3 months, 1 weekago

that clearcoat failure is quite extensive on the bed. it will certainly have to be stripped before applying fresh paint. how much fuel capacityl does the truck have?
