Debuted in the 2002 Paris Motor Show as the fastest production sedan in the world, the W211-generation Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG features a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine paired with an AMG Speedshift automatic transmission, AMG-tuned Airmatic suspension, and massive 8-piston front brakes. This 2006 example is finished in Bright Silver Metallic over a black leather interior and is equipped with bi-xenon headlights, 18” AMG double-spoke wheels, heated and ventilated dynamic front seats, an electric rear window sunshade, four-zone automatic climate control, Keyless-Go, a COMAND infotainment system, and a Harman/Kardon sound system. Cared for by one owner in California, this E55 AMG is now being offered for auction with approximately 54k miles showing on the odometer.

The E55 AMG stands out from the standard W211 E-Class sedan with an AMG styling package that includes a front spoiler, side skirts, and rear fascia. This example is finished in Bright Silver Metallic and rides on 18” AMG double-spoke wheels. Equipment includes bi-xenon Curvelight headlamps, fog lights, heated power mirrors, V8 Kompressor fender badges, an electric tilt/slide glass sunroof, polished AMG quad exhaust tips, and silver AMG-branded brake calipers. The seller notes the hood, front bumper, and rocker panels are preserved by clear paint protection film and the exterior is in excellent overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with black leather upholstery, an Orion Grey Alcantara headliner, and Anthracite Bird’s Eye Maple wood trim. Amenities include heated and ventilated front seats with memory and dynamic bolsters, a leather multifunction steering wheel with shift buttons, AMG-branded stainless-steel door sills, aluminum pedal covers, an electric rear window blind, Keyless-Go, a COMAND infotainment system with navigation, and a Harman/Kardon sound system.

Featuring a Lysholm-type supercharger, the all-aluminum 5.4-liter M113 V8 engine delivers up to 469 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes speed-sensitive variable-ratio power steering, AMG-tuned Airmatic air suspension, and cross-drilled disc brakes with 8-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers at the rear. The CARFAX report shows a service in 2023 including new brake pads, front rotors, two new tires, a new air filter, and engine mount(s). The most recent service entry from 2024 shows recommended maintenance performed and an oil/filter change. The seller adds that a transmission service has also been performed.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a full-size spare tire, a toolkit, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “A hard-to-find one-owner car in such stunning condition. Absolutely babied example, flawless. The condition shows even less age than the miles

@Johnnybravo71 Nice buy, a fair price for an excellent example. I wanted it, but I don't even kind of need it. Couple that with the huge shipping cost to CT from CA and I waived the white flag. Enjoy

@FXRcR1 About to post photos of the area of concern, it’s the front right Jack point missing the plastic top looks like at one point when the car was lifted the pressure from the jack point to that plastic piece broke a piece of it but it’s not hanging and it’s a pretty sturdy solid plastic piece, it’s mostly cosmetic, the jack point plastic piece is missing so it would have to be ordered and plugged into place. I believe the cost would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $10-$20.

@nobrakes I appreciate your guidance on this but have to point out to you that the paint and the replacement are plastic pieces. Bumper and rocker panels are just plastic parts that you could replace all day long and paint and has nothing to do with bodywork or any type of accident apparently according to the previous owner, they were scoffed and he wanted the car to look perfect so he had everything redone and Wrapped in clear film.. has no impact on the condition of the vehicle or require any adjustment on a reserve , instead of withholding information I’d rather post everything there is and not hide anything … thank you for your concern.

  • nobrakes (registered bidder) 1 day, 18 hoursago

Seller should read his own documentation before posting it and selling the car (and setting the reserve). The body and paint work will hopefully be reflected in the final price.

Please reach out if you need information or if we could help with getting you transport rates, if any California resident wins the auction and would like to pick it up in person. We are more than happy to store it for a few days to allow them time to coordinate.

@GarageMonster Thank you for sharing some great information and your experience with the model as an owner. It’s always best, in regards to the air suspension I believe 2003 for most Mercedes with the system was a challenging year, but by 2005 all across the board there were a bunch of updates to the system. Any air right type of suspension just works amazing and has a much nicer ride quality because it absorbs the bumps and things better.… I have driven the car in different on the suspension settings and it definitely drives as well as it did on day one, time after time we learned that how the car was owned is always number one and that’s the case here, this car was owned by an owner who not just baby the car, but took great care of it mechanically as well, this car will not disappoint and will be even more impressive once seen in person and taken out for that first drive.

I owned one of these brand new in 2003 these were really the ultimate German Muscle car sedan I later traded it on a E63 which was also neat. These E55 are fun and lots of mod potential if that matters. The only thing about them I never loved was the airmatic suspension and they can get expensive to repair today. This E55 is really clean wow very impressed.

@kjbcars Yes, now I see what you’re talking about, the front bumper and both panels were repainted before PPF, the original owner of this car was very meticulous, you can tell by the fact that he had to have a full size AMG wheel and tire as spare,
The rest of the panels, hood, right and left fender show high readings because of the PPF

  • kjbcars (registered bidder) 2 days, 9 hoursago

I am specifically reading the document in picture 196. Any further information / details? Does the keyless go function as designed?

  • CARS458 (seller) 2 days, 9 hoursago

Pics 97 and 110 for the keyless go.

  • kjbcars (registered bidder) 2 days, 9 hoursago

Thanks. Just double checking on the PPF as the service records note body and paintwork that the carfax doesn’t. It’s more common to blend paintwork rather than panel paint - in this case the bumper and rocker(s). Any further info or details? Additionally, just noticed that the keyless go button is removed and the key used for ignition on. Is the keyless go system working as designed? Thanks.

  • CARS458 (seller) 2 days, 10 hoursago

@kjbcars The word fiat should read first
    Sorry for the type

  • CARS458 (seller) 2 days, 10 hoursago

@kjbcars Please read all post fiat
The hood, fenders, front burner and both rockets all have PPF, thet need to read 12-13 mil with PPF

  • kjbcars (registered bidder) 2 days, 10 hoursago

Thanks for postings the service records. Passing over fuel tank campaign not noted - can you speak to the body work? Did the rocker panel damage extend to the metal work underneath? And, why the need to replace the entire bumper? The mil readings are high for the front fenders and hood. Blended paintwork along with the bumper repair or solely PPF? Further damage beyond bumper? Thanks.

@mush1963 There is no concern and we’ll have the shop that’s always worked on the car or the dealer have a once over look at the car. I’m super confident mainly because I’ve put 60-70 miles on the car and filled up the tank once, car is in even better shape than seen in photos. Love the fact that it even smells new and free of any odors or Fragrances…. Also after having a long conversation about the tank concern with the Dealer I learned that it was more of the None AMG cars because the fuel tank used a certain gasket related to ULEV that causes some issues.

  • mush1963 (registered bidder) 6 days, 8 hoursago

@CARS458 thanks I am sure you understand the concern. So are you willing to Fuentes their is no issue or sale upon inspection by winning bid

  • CARS458 (seller) 6 days, 10 hoursago

@irija just wanted to post an update on fuel tank concern. I was able to have the dealership elsewhere pull up all the records. At one point the car had a fuel filter module replaced. The dealer mentioned that there was a fuel system campaign that got extended to 2020, They don’t see anything being done on this particular car, but they did say that it was more prone to the 350 cars because they were ultra low emission and the AMG was obviously not ultra low emission. I also had a chat with the folks over at Collie Autoworks were car was always serviced at and they just mentioned all the routine maintenance and recently having a new battery idler pulley.. they did mention the fact that the car has always had meticulous service and it has had three transmission services.. one thing the dealer mentioned was that when they did that fuel module, they would have pressurized the fuel system and pointed out that if there was any issue at the time, they would’ve noticed it. This is all the very best I’ve been able to dig up..

@Ejortega1 The backseat is solid and no fold down
Kinda makes sense because for this type of car it adds a tiny bit of rigidity to the chassis, there a hefty solid wall in there

@kjbcars Stay tuned on this. I will check the data from another dealer as well, the previous and original owner was a meticulous person. I would highly doubt if there was something that needed to be done and him not taking care of it. This would have for sure been something he was aware of and if they honored anything during the 15 year period he would’ve got it done therefore I will find out from previous owner and the dealership report on this thread

  • CARS458 (seller) 6 days, 19 hoursago

@Ejortega1 that’s a good question. Let me double check and reply again. Will post a couple of photos along with it. I want to say they do.

  • CARS458 (seller) 6 days, 19 hoursago

@irija Was waiting to hear back from the dealer to see what they find. They weren’t much help with it, but as of now the car doesn’t have any fuel related issue. Regardless of Brand and model there’s always a sort of recall or issue that often times not all cars are affected by. This is the best I can give. You but will have another chat with a different Mercedes dealer.

Very nice W211 E55. Definitely set a standard for powerful sedans. Please comment on the gasoline tank issue as mentioned by @irija. It is no longer covered by the 15 year service campaign and it's a helluva DIY repair and DIFM expense.

And I thought the 2004 (Tectite Gray) one owner California car I found 2 years ago with 50k miles was rare. This being a 2006 one owner low mileage California car just the same definitely deserves top dollar. Unfortunately the current market is horrible right now.
    Will be watching this one.
