Finished in Black, this 2006 Porsche Carrera 4S Cabriolet was custom ordered by its owner at an original sticker price of over $111k including a red Leather to Sample Interior featuring the Carbon Package, a carbon fiber multifunction steering wheel, carbon fiber door sills, and supple leather seats with Porsche-crested headrests. It comes equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to all four wheels from a 3.8-liter flat-six engine. Remaining with its original caretaker, a longtime Porsche owner, this C4S is now being offered for auction out of Florida while showing just under 34k miles on the odometer.

The all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 models feature wider fenders than the standard 997 Carrera, and the premium “S” models receive red painted brake calipers and quad exhaust tips. This Carrera 4S is finished in Black with a matching convertible top and rides on factory 19” Carrera S wheels with optional 5mm spacers and colored Porsche crest center caps. The seller indicates the tires were mounted about 4 years ago within the last 8k miles and a very small scratch is present near the right front wheel well. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin showcases custom red Leather to Sample upholstery complemented by deviated black carpeting and Carbon Package trim. Other options include a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel in carbon fiber, supple leather seats, Porsche-crested headrests, and carbon fiber door sills with Carrera 4S model insignias. The driver is also provided with the Power Seat Package, Bose High-End Sound Package, automatic climate control, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). Some imperfections are noted on the carbon fiber steering wheel trim and driver’s side door as well as some separation of the carbon fiber rear center console.

A naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine provides up to 355 HP to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in less than 5 seconds and stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes and cross-drilled 330mm rotors at each corner. The 4S also comes standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). The seller indicates service has been carried out on a regular basis and there are no outstanding maintenance items.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, a car cover, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “I have been a Porsche owner for 40+ years and this was one of my favorites. Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, I am no longer able to drive. Whoever gets this car is getting a real gem!”

    With the low miles, the unique options, the owner’s history, and the service records, this is the perfect modern day 911 for the person who doesn’t want to spend up for a 991.1, a 991.2, or a 992. This car should be very well in the final 10 minutes of the auction.

    With the impeccable service history on this car at one of the most respected Porsche dealers in the country added to an 87 year old long time owner ,concerns over tracking or DME reports seem irrelevant to me.

    davethewave911: DB Carbon in Germany makes custom OEM carbon fiber parts for all 911’s. I deal with the owner, Dan Balsmeyer, all the time as I am always replacing plastic bits in my 911’s with his carbon fiber parts. He is easily reached through his website and can handle most any carbon fiber issue.

    Nice car...GLWTA....my challenge is the Carbon separation on the console....I've been through this on past 911's...with both Wood and Carbon.....there really is NO fix...and "P" will NOT warranty any of it....and to order a new piece is like pulling teeth, and actually not even available....so that is an issue one will have to live with.....unfortunately my ATD complex will not allow it....DARN! nice car......

    @jbtuckermd, no, the comment by @MCMotorcars is 100% true. Boxsters have an integrated roll hoop behind the seats. 911 cabrios do not. And not all groups will allow Boxsters with just the factory hoops, even if you pass the "broomstick rule".

    The whole track issue is a red herring anyway. Money shifts and overrevs can happen to anyone, anywhere, even on the street. A DME is always a good idea, and the hammer price on this lovely 997 may reflect the fact none will me forthcoming.

  • jbtuckermd (registered bidder) 8 months, 2 weeksago

    @PMass83 helps, thank you

  • jbtuckermd (registered bidder) 8 months, 2 weeksago

    @MCMotorcars Sometimes true. Broomstick rule applies. Two of my prior cars were Boxster Spyders and were both tracked with no issues.

  • PMass83 (seller) 8 months, 2 weeksago

    @MCMotorcars Thank you! Exactly this car was used as a cruiser and never taken on road trips. Rarely ventured more than 5 miles from the house or on the highway.

  • PMass83 (seller) 8 months, 2 weeksago

    @jbtuckermd If this helps I am handling the internet piece for my Dad. He bought this car at 70 and is now 87. It has never been on a track or street raced. Thanks!

  • MCMotorcars (registered bidder) 8 months, 2 weeksago

    Here's a tid-bit relative to the overev boogieman. The Sanctioning /Organizing Bodies of racetrack events will not allow convertibles on the track w/o a fixed roll bar (welded or bolted) for liability & insurance coverage reasons. Most 911 Cabs are Blvd cruisers as a result.

  • jbtuckermd (registered bidder) 8 months, 2 weeksago

    Thank you, would you warranty no over-revs in the past 200 hours of operation to a successful bidder?

  • PMass83 (seller) 8 months, 2 weeksago

    @jbtuckermd sorry, I leave town tomorrow and don’t have time to take it in. The car was driven conservatively if that helps at all.

  • jbtuckermd (registered bidder) 8 months, 2 weeksago

    @PMass83 any way you could have it done and post before auction ends?

  • PMass83 (seller) 8 months, 2 weeksago

    @jbtuckermd unfortunately I do not.
