This 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera 4S comes finished in Seal Grey Metallic over Black full leather upholstery. Sporting the wide fenders and powerful brakes of the 911 Turbo, this 4S also features an optional Tiptronic S automatic transmission, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and Black full leather upholstery. The car made its way from California to Texas when the seller acquired it through PCARMARKET in 2023. This example is now being offered for auction with approximately 128k miles showing on the odometer.

This C4S Cabriolet showcases broader bodywork compared to a standard Carrera, complemented by red-painted brake calipers and quad exhaust outlets. It is finished in Seal Grey Metallic with a black soft top, and rides on factory 19” Carrera S wheels. The seller mentions minor imperfections, including a scratch on the left rear fender, a small ding on the passenger rear quarter panel, and minor markings across the exterior from regular use. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report, which indicates minor damage from an incident occurring in November 2018.

The interior features Black full leather upholstery with automatic climate control and steering wheel Tiptronic shift buttons. It also includes the optional Bose High-End Sound Package. A Sony touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto has been added. The seller notes wear on the driver's seat and a slight looseness in the clip of the side cupholder, though it remains fully functional. The passenger's side airbag light is illuminated, but all other gauges and electronics are functioning properly.

Power is derived from a 3.8-liter flat-six engine, delivering up to 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH can be achieved in approximately 5 seconds while stopping power is provided by fixed 4-piston brakes and 330mm cross-drilled discs on all corners. The CARFAX report shows service completed at Don Wise's Autowerks in 2020, including the installation of a new water pump and gasket, starter, and idler pulleys. Current ownership has seen routine maintenance, including an oil change and general inspection following its journey from California to Texas approximately one year ago.

This sale will include the owner’s manuals, sales brochures, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. I have owned this car for nearly a year and it has been kept in a garage for its entire time with me. After purchasing, I drove the car down from California to Texas, for a dream road trip, and the car did not disappoint. Following the long drive, my mechanic gave the car a thorough inspection and an oil change. He had nothing but good things to say about the car.”

@TomSesto the car lived its whole life in California before I bought it and drove it down to TX.
    It’s currently registered in TX.
Absolutely should be capable of making the drive from TX back to California. It is an amazing roadtrip.
It must have passed the smog check last time with its previous owner but I have not needed to get a smog test in TX.
The passenger side airbag has not deployed. Please refer to a previous comment, on what I believe is the reason the airbag light is on.
I did not ask if the light could be reset but I don’t think the fix is just as easy as resetting the sensor.

Good daily driver? Last registered or currently registered where? Smogged anywhere? Driveable from TX to L.A.?What are the problems with the car after a year of ownership - other than 120k in miles (which could be a good thing). Did the passenger side airbag deploy. Why isn't mechanic able to diagnose and reset the sensor and warning light?

    @Adnan999 thanks for the comment.
    1. The cloth is not torn. It’s more like it has slipped out of the rubber seal. Only the slightest water comes in when hand washing but it has not been an issue for me. I’ve rarely been caught in the rain and haven’t had any leaks while driving.
    2. I have not replaced my tires in my ownership.
I will upload pics asap for the age of the tire. The tread is still good.
    3. I did not investigate much after my mechanic told me it was a fairly common problem. I was told there is a sensor in the bottom seat cushion. When someone reaches over to grab something from the other side of the cabin and they step on the cushion with their knee it can damage the sensor for the passenger airbag so it has a difficulty determining if the passenger is a child or an adult.
I hope this helps answer all of your questions.
    Happy bidding!

Beautiful car and seems well maintained and I am very interested; however, I have a few questions.
    1. Picture 13 shows what looks like a little rip in the soft top just above the passenger door - could just be an photo capture issue.
    2. Could you provide the date codes on the tires - I didn't see any tire changes reported in carfax.
    3. Have you tried to figure out why the airbag light is on. Especially because an accident was also reported and a door hinge is reported replaced a few months after that. Could these two be related? Some explanation would go a long way in assuring potential bidders.
Thank you and good luck with the auction/sale.

    Hi everyone,
The car is beautiful and will have you looking over your shoulder every time you park up.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
I’ll be sad to see her go, but I am in the works on starting my own business and need the funds for starting up.
    Happy bidding!
