Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Porsche Club of America, the 2006 Carrera S Club Coupe was built in a limited series of 50 examples featuring the X51 Powerkit, 19” SportDesign wheels, a specially appointed leather interior, and unique Azurro California paint color. This Club Coupe, #3/50, was specified with an optional exterior Aerokit and has remained under the care of its original Porsche-enthusiast owners since delivery. Accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and extensive documentation, this rare and highly collectible Club Coupe is now being offered for auction out of New York showing just over 14k miles on the odometer.

Each Club Coupe is finished in Azurro California, an exceedingly rare Paint to Sample option borrowed from Ferrari’s color palette. This example is equipped with the Aerokit Cup (XAA) option, adding a GT3-style front spoiler, engine cover, and rear wing. It rides on 19” SportDesign wheels mounted ahead of red-painted brake calipers and cross-drilled rotors. The original owner notes the car has always been garage-kept and was never subjected to track use. A spare front spoiler lip is said to accompany the sale as well. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The black full leather interior is accented by Azurro California painted trim and features a pair of Sports Seats along with a Sport Shifter, three-spoke leather steering wheel, and “911 Club Coupe” aluminum door sills. A special designation plaque is also mounted next to the speaker grille on the driver’s door that reads the car’s individual production number. Other equipment includes a fire extinguisher, front seat heating, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and Sport Chrono Package Plus which adds a stopwatch to the center dashboard.

The 3.8-liter flat-six engine is equipped with the Carrera Powerkit (X51) which includes cylinder heads with optimized intake and exhaust ports, a larger intake manifold and throttle body, sports exhaust, a third radiator, a carbon fiber airbox, and revised DME programming. An output of 381 HP and 306 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Service records are provided in the gallery including a recent service carried out by TKX Performance in March of 2023. The seller notes service records have been kept throughout the vehicle’s lifetime and will be provided to the next owner.

This sale will include a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, spare tire, toolkit, air pump, sale brochure, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This is a compelling car to drive, comfortable to ride in, and a beauty to look at. I've driven everything from a Miata to a Ferrari factory race car and the Club Coupe holds her own! If you are looking for sheer driving pleasure, I urge you to consider adding "3" to your collection. We have been very proud to own this car, so here's your chance!”

The lower lips on the aerokit/gt3 cars are dispensable. The lip is $100 and you can paint them or leave them black. Buy a couple and change them out so often. It's actually better than the non-aero cars because it stops it from hitting the bottom of the bumper and scratching that paint!

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

Just want to let everyone know that this car will definitely be sold TODAY!!! It’s one fabulous vehicle looking for it’s next owner. We’ve been privileged to own her for these years. But now it’s time for someone else to have this kind of big fun. I look forward to congratulating the new owner. We’ve got a scant few hours left, so let’s all get serious!

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

@Tabby13 - I’ve been very forthcoming about this car. The bottom of the spoiler was damaged so we include a fresh one in the deal. The car has never been repainted. And that’s pretty much it on the paint job! I am happy to answer any q’s… just ask! Thanks-

  • jtsherri (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@Tabby13 - Think on the 'experience(s)' and see if you can make more sense of it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  • Tabby13 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@jtsherri I have. Countless times. Thanks for the input. Anything else?

  • jtsherri (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@Tabby13 - It's worth driving a car with one of these bumpers on it. It'll be very, very obvious how this happens.

  • Tabby13 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

    @jtsherri
That was a little hostile. The spoiler is cracked/shredded on a 14,000 mile car. Legitimate question. I’m not “talking down” about the car.
@Mindyopp curious about the area above the spoiler

  • jtsherri (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@Tabby13 - Anyone who can't understand how it got this damaged either a) has never driven a car with an aero bumper (much less lowered ones, which are FAR worse) or b) is just saying they don't understand how it happened to talk down the car.

Not trying to stir the pot here, but it's seriously ludicrous to me to read such a comment. I'd be floored if an aero-equipped car that's actually driven exists without some amount of damage to its lip.

  • Tabby13 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

When I said off Roading, I was obviously exaggerating to make a point. It’s difficult to understand how it got that damaged. I’m curious about the area above the spoiler. Has that been repainted?

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

@Tabby13 - The car is original paint & a new lower splitter is included. No, this car has never been “off-roadbed”. With the aero kit it is very, VERY, low to the ground. Going into the average gas station does require some thought & diagonal driving. A few scrapes are unavoidable. Anyone with a car this trim to the ground who claims they never nick the leading edge in the front, is lying.

  • Tabby13 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

This car is very cool. Very special with the aero kit. Couple of questions, it looks like the aif dam above the lower spoiler has been painted. You can see marks in it that have blue paint inside of it. Could you confirm with this has been painted or not? Also, could you explain how the lower spoiler got so damaged? It looks like it went off Roading.

@Dozer - The paint is original. There is no clear bra currently on it. The clear bra applied in 2005 was removed for the detailing recently done.

  • Dozer (registered bidder) 1 yearago

Is the paint all original? Any clear bra? Thanks.

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

@95baskethandle - Ah, a person with excellent car taste!

  • 95baskethandle (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@95baskethandle correction: 6 with the Aerokit, and the non-factory was installed after delivery (car #5)

  • 95baskethandle (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@SherbourneDr @seller I believe there are only 5 that came from the factory with the Aerokit, and one that had it installed by the delivering dealer.

  • 95baskethandle (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@Mindyopp I already own an aerokit club coupe :)

@seller indeed very rare to find the aerokit on a club coupe, last one I sold at Sotheby’s for $150,000.

What a gorgeous car. This is the kind of car that justifies ignoring the IMS issue. If I hadn't just spend all my money on another 997, I'd be all over this one. Good luck to the seller and the lucky buyer.

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

@95baskethandle - This car has shared a garage with a ‘95 993 for her whole life. Maybe it’s destiny?

  • 95baskethandle (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@SherbourneDr it’s soo soo tempting. Aero kit is very rare.

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

@dockneal - yeah, I figured that for a mechanic it would be easy but for me not so much! It’s beautiful either way.

  • dockneal (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@mindyopp. Thanks for the quick reply. I spoke with my Porsche mechanic and he says that if I did decide to remove it, that it’s not difficult. The cost would be about $3000.

Would it be bad to own two of these… the urge is strong, mine is 5,000 miles strong with no aerokit. Out of all my 911s in my collection nothing quite drives like this Club Coupe with X51, nothing is as connected to me as a driver. It’s the best.

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

@dockneal - The car has never been tracked at speed. It has physically been to the racetrack. I loved taking it to the Ferrari Club events when I was their CI ;).
“Easy removal” of aerokit? In one sense, I hope not since I have seen these cars on the racetrack. I really can’t answer that since being easy is so subjective. The kit on the car is the GT3 kit of the time & was offered as one of the few options on the Club Coupe. People change the aero on their 911’s all the time. Is it easy? I just don’t know. Hope this helps some. It’s a great car!

  • dockneal (registered bidder) 1 yearago

Has the car been tracked? If so, how often? Can the aerokit be easily removed?

  • Szvc 1 yearago

Bid in the amount of $85,000

  • Szvc (registered bidder) 1 yearago

    @Mindyopp thanks for clarifying

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

@Szvc - The oil was changed every March by the owner, along with the race cars. Sorry that better records of our bulk oil purchases were not kept.

  • Szvc (registered bidder) 1 yearago

Are some service records not posted or was the oil not changed between 2014 and 2023?

  • butchlobo (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@Mindyopp Thinking about it, but I now have a 2023 4S in it's place which is supposed to be my last Porsche.

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

@butchlobo - “3” has certainly put smiles on our faces over the year. Here’s another chance!

  • butchlobo (registered bidder) 1 yearago

I owned #25 and sold it several years ago, a mistake. This car has very similar HP as the GT3, a top speed of 185 vs. 189, and can make telephone poles look like a picket fence. Someone will enjoy this beautiful and unique Porsche.

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

@VINCEZIMMER - I asked my mechanic who has always taken care of this car. His response:
“The engine in that car has the larger updated bearing which does not need replacement. The only way to do that one properly is to disassemble the engine completely but it is NOT necessary as it is a much better bearing and the failure rate I believe is less than 1%.“
    Hope this helps.

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

    @Mindyopp (that’s me)

  • Mindyopp (seller) 1 yearago

@luis.seneriz But the wife (thanks me) loved this car!!

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 1 yearago

This car has the largest bearing, to replace the ims you have to split the cases. If you haven’t seen one of this in person the car is beautiful and a pretty unique color. Blue is my favorite color. Also since I was born on April 13, 3 is also one of my favorite numbers. I bought my 03 turbo here last year in April so I may give myself another birthday present. If you guys know any good marriage counselor p lease send me their contact info.

Welcome to an entry for a beautiful car. Honestly, it’s GT3 performance (of the time) in a civilized street version with extra coats of metallic sparkle. This car attracts a lot of attention from both men and women.

She needs a home with an owner who has the time to drive her and enjoy her. The 2006 Club Coupe is always an attention getter in car shows, concours, cars & coffees. And the LIE ;)

I will try to answer any questions. Just ask!

    Thank you - Mindy
