It also features optional Adaptive Sport Seats, a Sport Shifter, a rear center console in leather, a footrest in aluminum, a three-spoke steering wheel in leather, the BOSE High-End Sound Package, and more. It was acquired by the second and current owner in 2019 at just 26k miles and is now being offered for auction out of California while showing under 41k miles on the odometer.

This Carrera S is finished in Basalt Black Metallic and features yellow-painted calipers as part of the optional ceramic brake system (PCCB). Other options include a rear window wiper and 19” Carrera Classic wheels with factory spacers and colored Porsche crest center caps. The car rides on a set of Michelin tires from 2018 and the seller describes the car to be in very good condition while noting a small scratch on the driver’s side rear quarter. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing moderate damage sustained in 2011.

Inside, this Carrera S is appointed with a Black full leather interior including optional heated Adaptive Sport Seats, a three-spoke steering wheel in leather, a rear center console in leather, a Sport Shifter, and a footrest in aluminum. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission and stopping power comes from optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). The seller indicates that routine annual service has been completed at their local Porsche dealership throughout their ownership.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, some documentation, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for taking a look at my 997.1 C2S. I purchased this car in 2019 from my local Porsche dealership, and barely driven it (thank you, COVID!). At just shy of 41,000 miles, this baby rocks. With the X.51 Power Kit, ceramic brakes, and manual shift it is a true driver's car. I hate to sell it but there's just no room in my garage anymore. I have upgraded the car with Bluetooth (PCM 2.1 is still in place!). It's an awesome daily driver and a special combination for the 997 generation. I hope it brings you as much joy to drive as it did for me.”

One question I get asked a lot is whether I took this car to the track. I haven't. Just thought you might be interested to know.

Thanks for all the comments and especially those who are bidding. I understand it's tough to verify everything I am claiming this to be, I suppose that's in the nature of the game with an online auction.

In the end, I can tell you I love driving this car and I loved owning it. I hope you can connect to this car as well as I could. Thanks again everyone for your interest.

@pcarmarket. I see it now. It wasn't showing on my iPhone but I can see it on my computer. Thanks.

If there’s no build sheet and no sticker with options is there a Porsche VIN check that verifies the X51 package?

  • 155MPH (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

Where is the third party inspection report that is indicated to be in the photos? I don’t see it.

I want to say thank you to the owner for showing me this beautiful car in person. This car is as described and more. When I first saw the car, I could tell it is not like a normal car. The car has character and a presence about itself. Going for a ride just reassured this fact. The engine sounded great and the transmission felt strong when shifting through the gears. In hearing the owner talk about the car I could tell he is very passionate and cares deeply about this vehicle.

@Peabo don't have the build sheet or that sticker unfortunately.

I'm highly unlikely to be able to get a DME report before the auction expires, but will still try for it.

  • sfabel (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

The tires haven't been changed for a while and are about to expire. Tread is still good because I haven't driven the car a lot.

  • Peabo (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

One more question - do you have the build sheet or maybe that white sticker on the underside of the hood listing all the options? Please post a pic of what you have. Thanks!!

  • Peabo (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

Please tell us how many miles on the tires and their age. Thanks you

  • Peabo (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

This is my kinda car. I'm looking forward to the DME report.

  • sfabel (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@155MPH working on the DME report! As the accident happened 12 years prior to me even laying eyes on the car, and the dealership where the car was purchased and repaired went out of business, it's pure speculation. I am working on getting the LemonSquad report uploaded, here is the summary text from it:

"This vehicle looks to have been well kept with some issues of note. I found no obvious signs of the vehicle having prior major accident or flood damage. There are minor misc. scratches around the vehicle. Normal for mileage and most too small to see in photos. The vehicle repaint shows dust under the paint, some orange peel, and signs of poor prep. This is sub-par workmanship. The underside shows areas of surface rust. See pictures. The exterior shows wear with what is considered to be appropriate for the age and mileage of the vehicle.

The interior shows well with normal wear noted. There is light wear to the drivers seat. Normal for mileage. The interior trim shows normal wear consistent with age and mileage. The carpet shows normal wear consistent with age and mileage. All accessories are working as designed.

I found minor issues on the test drive. Vehicle is equipped with an aftermarket air filter system. This system should be taken out, cleaned, and reinstalled. The steering fluid is dirty and should be changed. The power steering fluid level is low, with no obvious external leaks this may indicate internal rack and pinion seals leaking and will require further diagnosis. The engine had plenty of power and there were no misfires. The transmission shifted as designed with no harsh engagement or slipping. The steering was responsive and the suspension was firm and the vehicle handled well. There were no abnormal vibrations or odd noises. The brakes were firm with no pulsation felt. There were no leaks found to the underside of the vehicle. I hooked up my Scan Tool to the computer system and found an engine fault code : P1133- Oxygen sensing adaptation, lower load range, bank 2. See below and pictures for more info."

DME report is a must for me to see on this beauty! Any possibility that this was in a track accident? If the carfax report on the damage is accurate, is that a possibility?

  • sfabel (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@Jarod964 Yes we've done paint readings. I am still waiting on the full report; there are some areas where paint was applied. I'll publish once I have it (should be any day now).

According to the inspector, he mentioned that it was a job very well done, hardly noticeable, paint very smooth and soft. There are some areas that are a little thicker than others, they seem to be isolated to relatively small areas in the rear and the front.

My suspicion is that if anything, it probably was a fender bender in 2007, and something similar in 2011. There is absolutely no structural damage to the car whatsoever. I am really not sure why CarFax would have classified this as "moderate" or even showed damage all around the car - there's nothing there.

  • sfabel (seller) 6 months, 1 weekago

@Quackbury yes, brakes are original. PCCBs last a long time! :) Based on the mileage, I reckon you'd still be on original irons. So I wouldn't worry about the brakes.

  • Quackbury (registered bidder) 6 months, 1 weekago

Lovely spec. Are the brakes original? Those PCCB's are crazy expensive to replace. Thanks!

@seller - beautiful car, this is what of the best 997 specs ive seen. would there be any possibly of having paint readings done to shed some light on any potential bodywork that may have resulted from the accident records? do you have any record of the last major service (plugs, maybe updated ignition coils, etc)? thanks

  • sfabel (seller) 6 months, 2 weeksago

@Tangerine997 - unfortunately, no details are on the Carfax or anywhere else I could find. However I have had an inspection done and am currently waiting for the LemonSquad report. I have been driving the car since 2019, and found it to be without noticeable fault. To be honest, if it hadn't been in the Carfax report, I don't think anyone would have noticed anything. I certainly didn't.

  • Tangerine997 (registered bidder) 6 months, 2 weeksago

@sfabel Carfax show two accidents, 2007 and 2011.
    Any details on them?
2011 shows damage to all sides of the car.

  • sfabel (seller) 6 months, 2 weeksago

Hi all, thanks for coming by to my auction. Let me know if there are any questions. If I know the answer, I'll give it!
