Now available for auction is this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera S Cabriolet finished in Speed Yellow. At an original sticker price of over $113k, this 997 was ordered with the Sport Chrono Package Plus, a 6-speed manual transmission, the Sport Exhaust System, and a black full leather interior with Speed Yellow painted trim, Speed Yellow seatbelts and instrument dials, extended leather upholstery, Porsche crested headrests, and Custom Tailoring. It has also been customized with TechArt wheels, yellow-painted brake calipers, and a performance air intake. Acquired by the third and current owner in 2019, this Carrera S is now being offered for auction out of New York with just over 23k miles showing on the odometer.
This 997 is finished in Speed Yellow with a black cabriolet top. Additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. The brake calipers have been custom painted Speed Yellow and the car rides on upgraded 20” TechArt wheels with polished outer lips and gloss-black painted centers. These wheels come dressed in newer Hankook Ventus V12 tires mounted within the last 1k miles.
Inside, this 997 showcases an eye-catching black full leather interior with supple leather seats, Porsche crested headrests, a storage compartment lid with model logo, floor mats with colored trim, and an instrument surround in leather as well as Speed Yellow seatbelts and instrument dials. As much as 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, allowing this Cabriolet to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4.5 seconds. The Sport Exhaust System and Sport Chrono Package Plus were equipped from the factory and an EVOMS cold air intake has been installed providing enhanced sound as well as a moderate increase in horsepower. CARFAX shows routine maintenance to have been kept up to date over the last several years and the seller notes that a new clutch and flywheel have been installed during their ownership.

@Garyfrandy It's correct that the IMS bearing in the 997 is not serviceable and can only be replaced in a process more difficult than on the 996 models. While failure rates are low, the problem was not corrected by Porsche until the 997.2 model in 2009.

The wire in the trunk is a charging wire? I have not seen that before.
997s produced from late 2005 - 2008 used a larger non-serviceable IMS bearing and these models are not susceptible to IMS failure. Also the original rims do not come with car
