Up for auction is this uniquely optioned 2006 997 Carrera S Cabriolet. 997’s are becoming highly desirable among Porsche enthusiasts for their mechanical drive systems and visceral feel. A naturally aspirated flat-six engine, manual transmission, cabriolet top, and very unique color combination are a few reasons why this car is so special. After having spent most of its life on the road in California, it eventually made its way to New Hampshire where it was purchased by the seller. It is now being offered out of New York with 56k miles on the odometer.
The beautiful and rarely seen Metallic Paint To Sample (L999) finish is stated all original aside from a professional respray of the front driver's side door area. Paint meter readings and other detailed photos of the exterior are available in the gallery. The special ordered brown convertible top is fully functional and complements the exterior paint beautifully. There is currently one minor crease showing in the convertible top that is easily fixable. The stunning OEM-style sport wheels are wrapped in a new set of Hankook tires. Overall, this 997 shines beautifully and remains in great condition.
Inside, you will notice a rarely seen and special ordered Cocoa Brown full leather interior that is paired with a handful of factory options such as power seat package, remote 6-disc CD changer, color-matched floor matts, and sport chrono package plus. The interior is said to be in excellent condition with minimal wear.
Power comes from a 3.8-liter flat-six engine that produces a hearty 355hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This power is delivered to the rear wheels by way of its desirable 6-speed manual gearbox. The seller states the car received a major service from Porsche Burlingame which included a replaced rear main seal, horn, and battery.
The sale will include all books, a clean Carfax, two keys, and service records.
