    Hi all.
With just a couple of hours left in the auction, please ask any questions and bid with confidence! This is a great car and there's no doubt that seller's remorse will hit me after this one goes, more than my other one.
Be confident in the quality here, not just because it's a 911 but also because it is a well maintained and beautiful car. Oh, and yes it’s a convertible! The last major service at around $7k ensures many more smiles of top down driving fun. I know it's a Tip too, but it's also 4WD, and fast! These cars are built to be driven - in the sun, and the snow :-)
I know the future owner will fall in love with the car and enjoy it greatly. All the best to everyone, I’ll be monitoring the closing hours closely.

@Swgrantmd oh that's great to know. No work there in my ownership, but it does make some sense. Thanks for the perspective, it is intriguing.

@PeeD71 that ding in the rear quarter panel can also occur when a connector that is loose within the panel works it’s way down to the bottom over time, creating a small bulge.was any work done that required removal of the body moldings at top of that panel?

@Schwebby66 @Schwebby66, sorry I missed this. Yes there is a ding on the outer quarter there from a parking lot incident when I came back to find the car had been bumped by another vehicle. Strangely the imperfection to left of that you can see on 26 and 34 is a ding from in the wheel well. A friend of mine in autobody stated its a rare occurrence, but something probably kicked up and into it on the inside, apparently. I don't know though, but it just appeared not long ago.

Hi all and it's an honor to be a part of the PCarMarket community. This is my first auction so forgive my naivety. This is an amazing car, I purchased through a car specialist near me. the previous owner was moving back to their home in Australia and were selling some cars. The owner was a trained mechanic so kept the car in great condition. my local Porsche only auto repair shop told me at a service over a year ago how impressed they were with the condition and the aesthetics. I am selling two of my five cars as my wife keeps reminding me the money is for a down payment on a house. We are in the Bay area, so easier said than done!
The car needs no work except for new tires soon. I have not replaced the tires prior to selling as I have learned that many enthusiasts have a particular brand they prefer. So up to the new owner.
Let me know if you have any questions. I will keep an eye on the comments as they come in.
    Cheers,
    Phil

    Thanks Pete!
This year and model has the larger non serviceable IMS that was installed in the later M97 engines. This engine is a late M97 with the larger revised bearing. More info can be read here too: https://lnengineering.com/products/the-definitive-guide-and-faq-for-porsche-ims-bearings/my06-08-porsche-cayman-boxster-911-ims-bearing.html.
    Cheers,
    Phil

    Hi! Looks beautiful!
Can you comment on service to IMS bearing?
