Up for auction is this 2006 Porsche 987 Boxster finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Stone Grey interior. A lifelong California car, this 5-speed 2006 Boxster was acquired by its third and current owner in 2018 shortly before receiving a new clutch, flywheel, and inspection of the IMS bearing. An upgraded sound system was installed by a prior owner, and an optional Sport steering wheel comes from the factory along with heated seats. This 987 is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Southern California showing approximately 80k miles on the odometer.
This 987 comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a Stone Grey soft top and 17” Boxster wheels, a factory drop-forged update of the classic Fuchs design. The seller notes a small scuff on the passenger side of the lower front fascia as well as slight fading on the soft top. Replacement headlights have been installed and their lenses were recently polished. New stone guards have also been applied ahead of the rear wheels, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Stone Grey standard leather interior comes factory fitted with heated seats, Bose speakers, and an optional Sport steering wheel. An upgraded sound system installed by a prior owner includes a Pioneer touchscreen Bluetooth head unit with navigation. Some typical signs of wear are noted on the climate controls and driver seat.
The mid-mounted 2.7L flat-six engine generates up to 240 HP and 199 lb.-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. The CARFAX report includes 8 maintenance records dating back to 2012, and service under current ownership includes a new clutch and flywheel, new OEM brake pads and rotors, a new battery, wiper blades, and routine oil and filter changes. The seller adds that the IMS bearing was inspected upon their purchase in 2018.

@TomBuddTX - I had a PPI done on the vehicle before I purchased the vehicle and he could not put the car onto a lift at that time so told me he checked the oil for debris/shavings which apparently is a sign of a bad or failing IMS. I then had the clutch/flywheel replaced so asked the mechanic to check the IMS while the car was on the lift. I don't know any more detail as to how this was done exactly.

@Bscher - Hi there. The IMS was checked before I purchased the vehicle and it did not need replacing. The current reserve price is fair and already reflects the vehicle age and condition. Thanks

Also curious about the IMS bearing being replaced from LN Engineering? If not, are you willing to lower the reserve price ?
You said the IMS bearing was inspected Not replaced with new L&N bearing kit correct.
