The second-generation Porsche Boxster (987) debuted in 2005 featuring an all-new design similar to that of the contemporary 997 Carrera. This 2006 example is finished in Guards Red with a black convertible top over a Sand Beige leather interior. Powered by a 2.7-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, this 987 features the Preferred Package Plus, a Bose Surround Sound System, and more. This Boxster is now being offered for auction by its sole owner out of Arizona showing just over 27k miles on the odometer.
Finished in Guards Red, this 987 features a black convertible top, black brake calipers, silver side air intake grilles, and optional bi-xenon headlamps that are equipped as part of the Preferred Package Plus. It rides on 19” Sport Design wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps wrapped in Pirelli tires. The CARFAX report lists damage to the front end in February of 2016. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, this Boxster is upholstered in Sand Beige leather and features matching floor mats, and the Preferred Package Pluswhich adds heated seats, a Bose Surround Sound System, self-dimming mirrors & a rain sensor. The seller notes that a LoJacksystem, as well as an additional privately installed security system, with remote control, are equipped and that the soft top straps were replaced in 2022. All gauges and electronics are stated to be functioning properly.
Powered by a mid-mounted 2.7-liter flat-six engine, the Boxster sends up to 240 HP and 199 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller reports this 987 to have had a new battery installed in November of 2022 and to have been maintained annually at Porsche of Tucson and Group One Motor Werks.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a spare tire, some documentation, a security system remote, a Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I appreciate your visiting my auction, and I am the original owner of this pristine Boxster. No smokers have ever been allowed. It has always been garaged and has always been in Tucson, so there has been no snow/rust exposure. All maintenance is up to date, including a recent battery change per Porsche’s schedule and new Pirelli's as of 2020. It is completely stock but includes an aftermarket alarm system and a premium Bose sound system. It also came with a Lo Jack system. I am including a Certificate of Authenticity.”

You're welcome. There was no mechanical damage, just cosmetic. It's getting close to the end of the auction, so all you wonderful people, BID!! Just a little auction humor. Good luck everyone
@RedAngel69 Thank you
@pma2021 Sorry. I don't have the invoice. This was adjudicated by the city in which I was living as it was caused by a car owned by the town. My insurance received payment that went to the body shop. Since I was out of the loop and happy to have The Boxster in great shape, I didn't worry about the paperwork at the time.

@Steveduva Thank you, that's a kind comment. The answer is somewhat personal but as a potential buyer, you deserve to know. I retired recently so as to be the care-giver for my wife. She has an autoimmune disease and needs quite a bit of my attention. She is unable to enjoy the Boxster and, of course, there is no room for her wheelchair. Being practical, I decided that My Boxster Days are over as driving in it alone is not like the old days. I thought someone else should enjoy it while it is still in great shape. I hope this helps, but please respond to this answer if you would like. Thanks again.
@JES999 Thanks for your interest. At that time, I was parked at my office lot. A municipal car apparently backed into the front end of the boxster, obviously at low speed. My insurance collected from the town and the body was repaired perfectly. At that time, I didn't think to take my own photos; I was just happy to have the body work done without any aggravation. However, as you can see from the uploaded photos, the front end looks great now. Thanks again.
Any details or photos of the 2/5/16 Front End Damage?
What a beauty can i ask why you decided to put it for sale ? Thanks
Thank you for your comment. It means very much to me. No, the vehicle is in great shape. It's next scheduled or routine maintenance would be November 2025. The battery, tires, and wipers will be fine at that point, so that it should be a Porsche-scheduled maintenance only, which is approx $250.00 here in Tucson at Group One MotorWerks. That would be fluids, filters, oil, etc. Thanks again for your interest.
Looks like a nice car. Is there anything that requires attention?
