Finished in Guards Red over a sand Beige full leather interior, this 2006 Porsche 987 Cayman S features a 6-speed manual transmission with a mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine. It comes factory-equipped with an optional Sport steering wheel, Porsche-crested headrests, Bose Surround Sound System, automatic climate control, 18” Cayman S wheels, and the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package. The car has also been modified with a carbon fiber rear wing, an additional radiator, a Fabspeed Supercup Race exhaust system, a Fabspeed IPD Competition intake plenum, an FVD Bombacher X51-style baffled oil pan, a Porsche Motorsports air/oil separator, Tarett Engineering sway bars, and aluminum Rennline pedals. Purchased by the current owner in 2021, it was modified and serviced to participate in track day events, although the car was never subjected to a racetrack as the owner found another car to take its place. Showing approximately 23k miles on the odometer, this Cayman S is now being offered for auction out of Massachusetts.
This Cayman S is finished in Guards red with matching brake calipers, silver front splitters, chrome dual center-mounted exhaust tips, and an aftermarket carbon fiber rear wing. Other equipment includes optional bi-xenon headlights, headlamp washers, fog lights, side air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, tinted windows, and factory 18” Cayman S wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The tires show production date codes from 2018 and 2019, and the seller indicates some minor cosmetic imperfections around the exterior. The cabin features premium Sand Beige full leather upholstery, a matching Alcantara headliner, and silver-colored trim pieces. Accessories include manually adjustable seats with power-reclining backrests, optional Porsche crest headrests, a three-spoke Sport steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and aluminum Rennline pedals. Minor signs of wear are noted in the cabin including some scratches and chips on the Sand Beige colored plastic trim.
The naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine was factory-rated at 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque, and it drives the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The engine has been upgraded with an additional radiator, a Fabspeed Supercup Race exhaust system, a Fabspeed IPD Competition intake plenum, a high-capacity FVD Bombacher X51-style baffled oil pan, and a Porsche Motorsports air/oil separator. The suspension has also been upgraded with Tarett Engineering sway bars and drop links. The CARFAX report shows the water pump was replaced in 2020. Serviced invoices show the power steering system was serviced with a new pump, reservoir, hoses, and fluid in 2022.

In the ballpark for real value. Had it been in the PNW, I'd have been a buyer and I suspect it would have gotten closer to $30 just due to the local tracking population. Post-COVID spike for the 987's is over, and sadly the mods never seem to be positive for resale. I hope it goes to DT and we see the seller's hope for pricing!

@drillfillbill - I do not have record for the plugs, coils and belt. The brake pads are in great shape and the rotors are in good shape too (please note the car has been sitting in storage for a bit). Pictures have been added.

Do you have record of replacement of spark plugs, coil packs, and serpentine belt change? How much life is left in the brake pads? Can you take a pick showing the pad thickness and pad backing plate? Also a closeup of the brake rotors to show any lipping or cracking. Thanks in advance.
@Roth1952 The wing can be removed but you would need to body work or plug the bolt holes from the wing mount.
@MakeLoveNotBidWars - the car does NOT have an aftermarket tune on it. The wing is NOT adjustable. It only has one fixed position.

@GT4Driver original exhaust comes with the car and the current Febspeed exhaust does have high flow cats.

I presume the current race exhaust does not have a cat. Converter? Original exhaust w/ cat come with this? Unfortunately have to pass emissions before putting the race exhaust back on ;)
