Finished in Midnight Blue Metallic, this 2006 Porsche 987 Cayman S was purchased new and transformed into a track car by its original owner.  It features an upgraded 3.8-liter flat-six engine with Shrick performance camshafts, DP Racing ported and polished heads, Carillo rods, new valve springs, guides, and retainers as well as a G-Box rebuilt transmission and limited-slip differential, Moton coilovers, a full roll cage, electronic fire suppression system, Racetech seats, a Getty widebody kit, lightweight Champion wheels, and more. Said to have been used exclusively for Driver Education and open lapping events while always maintained at Prestige Imports of Colorado, this Cayman S is now being offered for auction by its original owner out of Colorado showing approximately 39k miles on the odometer.

The exterior is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic (39C) and features Getty widebody fenders as well as a carbon fiber front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear wing. This Cayman rides on lightweight (14lb.) 19” Champion wheels mounted with Hoosier racing tires. The original 19” wheels are said to accompany the sale and the full exterior is said to have been refinished in its original color following the installation of the widebody kit.  Clear paint protection film has been applied over the front end and headlights, and the seller notes the car has always been transported between events in an enclosed trailer. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report showing an accident in September of 2008 which is said to have resulted from a fender ding after the car was gently backed into at a dealership parking lot.

The interior has been stripped and optimized for motorsport with a full Hanksville roll cage, Racetech seats with a driver’s halo and Schroth harnesses, a MOMO steering wheel and hub, an electronic fire suppression system, and shifter riser. A custom radio delete panel also houses switches for oil pressure, the fire suppression system, cooling fans, and the Accusump oil accumulator.

The original 3.4-liter engine was replaced with a larger flat-six bored out to 3.8-liters and rebuilt with DP Racing ported and polished heads, Schrick performance camshafts, Corillo rods, JE pistons with coated skirts, an EPS pressure-feed roller bearing, an IPD plenum, a Hanksville straight pipe exhaust, a 997 Carrera S oil cooler, a Motorsport oil/air separator, a 180-degree thermostat, semi-solid engine mounts, and tig welded and pinned intermediate shaft. A rebuilt 6-speed G-Box transmission with a lightweight flywheel, solid mounts, and an external cooler sends power to the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. The suspension has been modified with a Moton coilover system (400 lbs. front/600 lbs. rear) spherical control arm bushings front and rear, camber plates, adjustable front and rear sway bars with drop links, a front and rear bump steer kit, and a Porsche Motorsport hydroelectric steering pump. The engine is kept cool by a center radiator and electric cooling fans, and the seller reports air conditioning has been deleted and some warning lights are illuminated due to the engine swap. The CARFAX report includes 65 service records at Prestige Porsche of Lakewood, Colorado.

This sale will include a clean title, the original wheels, and a window sticker.

@PCarMartJM the roll cage is Pca compliant. I purchased car under business name then transferred to personal ownership after sold business. The “accident” was then general manager Don Adis of prestige Porsche backed into the passenger fender in their parking lot. They repaired it at their cost. It was a ding. I have clear title. The car gets to the track 2-3 times a year.

Looks like a very fun track car!

Can you tell us a little more about the damage reported in the Carfax on 9/15/08 and post a copy of the repair receipt?

You indicated you are the original owner - carfax shows 2nd owner in 2014 - can you clarify the chain of title.

Is the car owned on bill of sale or does it have clear Colorado title?

Can you provide the specs for the cage (tubing thickness etc.) or confirm it is legal for PCA racing?

It appears the car has had limited use since 2014 - no longer getting to the track?

    Thank you

Can you tell us the dates on the seat belts, fire bottle,

@Alpinist PCAR Market does not allow us to give out contact information. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. It is a wonderful car, I have owned it since new, and had Prestige Porsche where I purchased it, maintain, store, and modify the car.

I'm local, PCA RMR instructor, wonder if I could come by for a look?
