Tracing its roots back to a historic Dutch aircraft manufacturer, Spyker was reborn in 1999 as a highly exclusive boutique sports car manufacturer based in the Netherlands. This 2006 C8 Spyder represents the marque’s original flagship vehicle and is one of only 46 examples produced for the United States and just 124 built in total. It comes finished in Champion Silver over a beautifully crafted Ruby Red leather interior and carries an Audi-derived 4.2-liter V8 engine mated to a 6-speed manual transaxle. This C8 also sports over $25k worth of optional features including a widebody specification, quilted leather trim, and 19” Aeroblade wheels. Accompanied by extensive documentation and benefitting from a major service, this rare C8 Spyder is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas while showing just over 5k miles on the odometer.
Finished in Champion Silver, the full aluminum bodywork is based around a Spyker-designed ultra-stiff spaceframe and incorporates high-gloss polished headlights spoons and air inlets as well as a rear diffuser and electrically operated single hinge tilting doors. This example was ordered in widebody specification and features an optional soft top, xenon headlamps, and 19” Aeroblade wheels. The finish is preserved by clear paint protection film and the car rides on a set of Pirelli P Zero tires dated 2015 in front and 2020 in the rear. The cockpit is upholstered in Ruby Red with optional quilted leather trim, a turned aluminum dashboard, and Spyker emblems embroidered into the headrests. Interior features include a unique exposed shifter mechanism, frameless windows, keyless entry, pushbutton ignition, tinted glass, air conditioning, and a leather-trimmed Aeroblade steering wheel.
The mid-mounted 4.2-liter V8 engine delivers up to 400 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle and a Drexler limited-slip differential. Stopping power comes from AP Racing 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brake calipers paired with ventilated and cross-drilled discs. The fully independent and fully adjustable double-wishbone suspension includes Koni F1 shock absorbers as well as Eibach springs and front anti-roll bar. A major service performed in 2021 included a new water pump, timing belt kit, thermostat, idler pulley, spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, camshaft seals, serpentine belt, fluids, and filters as well as a new clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate. Other items replaced during this time included the door struts, rear decklid struts, and remote battery.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, toolkit, a car cover, luggage, and a clean title.

@Boattail .... There was a box sitting on the seat when it arrived that had the orig. seat belts in it , it will smooth out and already is much better.
Photos 43 44 and 47 show 2 indentations in the seat leather. Can you comment on those?

The chin spoiler was replaced and the area around it repaired

@Boattail the repair order was for the service that was done per Spyker's schedule.

@Lambogas since the top photos aren't up yet, can you verify condition of the top? Also, has the chin spoiler been repaired or replaced? Any chance you have paint thickness readings?
Do you know if there was some kind of event that caused All the engine repairs and the missing air box?
@halocars ..... Photos of the top have been submitted , I am trying to reach the prior owner about the cabin air filter box , If they dont have it I will get one , we have already reached out to Spyker but it was late there .
@Lambogas #68 & 69 show it. The space between the radiator and the battery/luggage case area is where the interior/cabin airbox should be. You can see part of the tube sticking out some towards the passenger side that should be connected to the box that would take up that space.
@halocars .... Which photo are you referring too ? I will post a photo of the top shortly.
Also the pictures show the cabin airfilter/box is missing. Is that correct?

Video has been posted of the underneath , it has never even been wiped off . We do have here at our facility a dry ice machine , we will have the car cleaned via dry ice for the new owner at my expense in the event it sells.

@Tgilbert ..... It does have a soft top , no radio and the lower portion of the window retracts. And it does come with fitted luggage.
Does it have a top, and stereo system and do the windows go all the way down or is it just the lower valence that retracts?
