Up for auction is this 2007 BMW E65 Alpina B7 finished Black Metallic over a Black leather interior.  Produced on the BMW assembly line in a collaborative effort with Alpina, the B7 was offered as a limited production, high-performance, and ultra-luxurious version of the E65 7-Series sedan.  Representing one out of a reported 800 examples produced for North America, this 2007 B7 is equipped with a supercharged 4.4 L V8 engine mated to a 6-speed Shift-Tronic automatic transaxle.  This example was previously listed and sold on PCARMARKET in 2021 and has been cared for by a major BMW enthusiast and owner of multiple 7-Series.  It is now being offered for auction out of North Carolina while showing approximately 38k miles on the odometer.

This B7 is finished in Black Metallic and can be distinguished as an Alpina model by its revised front and rear fascias, extended rear spoiler, specialized badging, and signature 20-spoke 21” wheels by BBS.  The Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires show date codes from 2017 and a full-sized spare wheel is also included in the trunk.  Additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, you will find a luxurious black leather interior with an Alcantara headliner and wood veneers accenting the dashboard, door panels, and center console.  Driver amenities include multi-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats with memory, full climate controls, an infotainment system, an Alpina-specific gauge cluster, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with Alpina-theme deviated stitching and shifter thumb buttons.  A specialized placard is also located forward of the sunroof designating this 7-Series as an exclusive Alpina model. The drive control light is said to come on intermittently, although this does not impact the operation of the vehicle according to the seller.

The B7 features a specially tuned, supercharged version of BMW's 4.4 L V8 engine.  As much as 500 HP and over 500 lb.-ft of torque are distributed to the rear wheels through a 6-speed automatic Switch-Tronic transmission which offers 3 different drive modes.  Weighing in at nearly 4700 lbs. while achieving a 0-60 time of approximately 4.4 seconds, the Alpina B7 was described as the being most potent BMW model on offer in a Car and Driver article from 2007.  All available service information is provided on CARFAX and an oil/filter change has been carried out earlier this year.

This sale will include the original owner's manuals and Alpina leather pouch, a full-size spare wheel, and a clean title.  Offering unprecedented performance and luxury, this B7 was designed to exceed the expectations of the most discerning drivers.  Do not miss your chance to get behind the wheel.

@Duke_dallas - sorry for late reply. I'm travelling and can't get those pics right now. One of the neat things about this B7 is the black on black color combination. Regarding door sills, BMW did a poor job of making these so they don't flake but I've discovered it's an easy fix with a can of vinyl spray from an auto parts store.. I used this easy fix with a 7 series I had a gray interior and also tan and it works great if you like your door sills looking new like me. :)

@Scotthogle Thanks for the response. I follow B7 sales closely as well and have owned 2 myself. Just a little unique that this particular B7 is up for auction for the 3rd time here on PCAR in the past 9 months. Other than the flaws I mentioned below, any others of note? Can you provide close-up of the seat bolsters and the door sills, please?

@Duke_dallas @Duke_dallas: Great questions. There have been multiple sales of B7’s across the country this year, this is the lowest miles one on the market available now that I know of. I am a connoisseur of these vehicles so I watch them as they become available. I currently own three 7 Series, but always wanted to scratch my B7 itch. I drove this vehicle 6k miles coast to coast and it is an amazing vehicle. Now that my B7 itch is scratched, it’s available to the next connoisseur. The drive control light comes on and off and the dealer said to not worry about it… its an indicator light that does not effect the performance of the vehicle. I didn’t have a chance to have the indicator switched out before selling it so wanted to disclose it. Btw, I am not a fan of the newer 7’s, just the older ones.

So this will be the third sale of this B7 here on PCAR in the last year? Seller, why are you moving on so soon? It looks like all wheels have some curb rash, seat bolsters are showing wear and there’s delamination on the sill plates. Any other flaws? Lastly has any effort been made to diagnose the intermittent “drive control light”? Thanks.

The 7 Series is the worlds greatest touring sedan, built for the autobahn. It’s an amazing vehicle to road trip in, especially on highways where there is no speed limit. Beyond it’s acceleration and speed, the handling over 100 MPH is very impressive. The Alpina’s come tuned with a sports suspension.

As the recent purchaser of a black on black 2007 B7 with 42K miles, I can tell you these are a real joy to drive. Luxury, comfort and incredible power in one car. B7's are rare cars which few people know about.....a subtle tiger. GLWTA

I currently own a 2012 Alpina b7. In Alpina Blue. Great cars and the power is awsome!!!! Good luck
