Designed by Pininfarina and unveiled at the 2004 Paris Motor Show, the F430 was offered as Ferrari’s flagship mid-engine sports car up until 2010 featuring a naturally aspirated 4.3-liter V8, “Skyhook” adaptive suspension, an E-Diff electronic limited-slip differential, and the Manettino drive mode selector. This 2007 Ferrari F430 Spider is finished in Argento Nurburgring over a Black leather interior with red stitching. It was optioned with a 6-speed F1 automated manual gearbox, Daytona-style sport seats, embossed headrests, carbon fiber interior trim, a yellow tachometer dial, red brake calipers, and Scuderia fender shields. Recently serviced and with under 12k miles showing on the odometer, this Ferrari is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.

The F430’s Pininfarina-designed bodywork includes prominent air intakes, an integrated rear spoiler, a transparent engine cover, and an F1-inspired rear diffuser. This Spider is finished in Argento Nurburgring with a black convertible top, optional red brake calipers, Scuderia fender shields, and 19” alloy wheels. Other details include quad exhaust outlets, leather-wrapped roll bars, xenon projector headlights, and an “F430” embossed driver’s side mirror. The seller notes clear paint protection film has been applied to the front end and some imperfections are present on the exterior as well as scratches on the wheel. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.

Appointed with Black leather upholstery and red deviated stitching, the cabin features a pair of electrically adjustable Daytona-style sport seats with embossed headrests as well as carbon fiber trim for the dashboard, door sills, center console, steering wheel, and paddle shifters. Other accessories include an optional yellow tachometer dial, drilled aluminum pedals and passenger footrest, automatic climate control, a CD stereo, and a three-spoke steering wheel with an engine start button and Manettino drive mode selector. An aftermarket integrated radar detector has been installed as well. The seller indicates some wear on the driver's seat bolsters.

Featuring a naturally aspirated 4.3-liter quad-cam 32-valve V8 engine with a flat-plane crankshaft, the F430 offers an output of up to 483 HP and 343 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed F1 automated manual gearbox. An electronically controlled E-Diff limited-slip differential comes standard along with Skyhook adaptive suspension. The CARFAX report shows 43 maintenance history records including several Ferrari dealer services in 2022 and 2023. The seller adds that the valve cover gaskets were replaced upon their acquisition.

This sale will include a toolkit, an air pump, a battery charger, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know:  "Fresh trade from Florida. The previous owner had it as an extra car in his stable. Contact us if you would like to set an appointment to see it in person. It is displayed in our showroom floor and now available for demo drives."

@FJhokie the other issue here is the seller saying in one post that they didn't check the clutch during service because it worked fine, then 20 hours later the seller says the clutch actually WAS checked and is "fine".

Since it appears none of the service was actually done, I'm leaning towards the first answer. Weird behavior by a seller and only spooks bidders.

I think when sellers avoid tough questions they end up losing more money than the item in question (i.e. ~8K clutch) because it's a credibility hit. The perceived lack of transparency then cascades to the rest of the car.

@jmorin This. The wheels are in pretty rough shape but the 12/17/23 service claims they were refinished via painting. They're still ball polished here.

Were the valve cover gaskets even done?

  • jmorin (registered bidder) 2 months, 3 weeksago

@andrewhabberstad The 12/17/23 "service?" That's just an estimate. Is there a paid receipt or invoice for what was actually done? No clutch report=either not done or very worn. Sorry if this is harsh, but anyone that has gotten within 1000 feet of a Ferrari F1 transmission knows all about this.

  • wthies (registered bidder) 2 months, 3 weeksago

@andrewhabberstad what was the clutch wear percentage? Ferrari's diagnostic software doesn't have a reading called "fine". It's a $7-8k fix so would be helpful to have more detail than "fine".

  • andrewhabberstad (seller) 2 months, 3 weeksago

I just uploaded a photo of the service that was recently done to this car. If anyone has any questions please let me know!

@wthies When the car was serviced we did have a clutch reading done and everything came back fine. If you have any further questions feel free to let me know!

  • andrewhabberstad (seller) 2 months, 3 weeksago

@wthies All factory componets are present, the car also has no mechanical or electrical issues. The top is also 100% functuional and waterproof. If you have any more questions feel free to let me know!

Are the factory flashlight + manuals missing or present? Any electrical issues? Does everything work correctly on the car (electrical and mechanical)? If not, what issues are present?

Top appears to have some wear - is it still waterproof or does it leak?

  • wthies (registered bidder) 2 months, 4 weeksago

Clutch reading take less than 60s and would net you many thousands in additional bidding if you can obtian it before auction close.

  • andrewhabberstad (seller) 2 months, 4 weeksago

Thank you for all the questions and interest in this amazing classic! Feel free to reach out to us anytime if you have any further questions!

@JFREI Hello @JFREI Unfortunately, the previous owner did not provide any previous service receipts. I can understand based off of the service history listed on CarFax that the vehicle may have needed additional service outside of normal maintenance. Every vehicle is inspected for mechanical issues that may not be physically apparent at time of appraisal. We stand by all work performed while in inventory and have it all done by trained experts. If you would like to come in and view the vehicle yourself, please let us know so we can set up an appointment for you. Thank you for your interest!

  • andrewhabberstad (seller) 2 months, 4 weeksago

@Tmort Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately, the original owner did not provide any service receipt for the work performed during ownership. We had the vehicle inspected for mechanical issues and performed any repaired needed since receiving the car. The clutch was not read since it performed as expected. We would be happy to have a reading done and get back to you if you are still interested!

Must agree with Tmort. Monthly service seemed to be required with service at two locations in a single day??? The service requirements were excessive and suggest there were serious issues in keeping the car running. No bid from me without meaningful documentation.

A lot of info in that carfax report with ant real information being detailed….that’s a lot of owners and lots of maintenance performed references without any real detail of what was done. Does this car have its original exhaust manifolds? What about a clutch reading? Yeah low miles but….
