Equipped with a 3.6-liter flat-six engine driving all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, this 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera 4 Coupe is presented in Midnight Blue Metallic over Stone Grey leather upholstery. This 997 came factory-equipped with optional painted interior trim pieces, heated power seats, a leather steering column casing, silver seatbelts, the Bose High-End Sound Package, Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, and stainless-steel exhaust pipes. Registered in Utah and Pennsylvania before the current owner’s purchase in March 2024, this Carrera 4 Coupe is now being offered for auction out of Idaho with approximately 32k miles showing on the odometer.

Compared to a standard 997 Carrera, the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 model can be distinguished by its wider rear fenders and silver-colored brake calipers. This C4 Coupe is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic (39C) and features optional bi-xenon headlights, stainless-steel exhaust pipes, and a rear model designation delete. Other equipment includes integrated fog lights, headlamp washers, heated power mirrors, an electric sunroof, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and aftermarket 19” five-spoke wheels dressed in Kumho Ecsta PS91 tires sized 235/35 in front and 305/30 at the rear. The seller notes some blemishes in the clear paint protection film. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with Stone Grey leather upholstery, matching carpets, and an Alcantara headliner. Optional painted body-color trim adorns the instrument cluster surround, PCM surround, and air vent slats. Other equipment includes optional heated and power-adjustable seats with driver position memory, silver seatbelts, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, leather steering wheel “Y” trim, a leather-wrapped steering column casing, automatic climate control, cruise control, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), and the Bose High-End Sound Package. The seller notes signs of wear on the climate control switches and that replacement pieces are included in the sale.

Rated at 325 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine drives all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Service in March 2024 includes replacing the front trunk seal, spark plugs, an engine belt, battery, air filter, an oil change, a brake fluid flush, and new front differential and transmission fluid.

This sale will include owner’s manuals, recent service records, and a clean title (lien).

The seller would like you to know: "Welcome to the auction of my 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera 4. I purchased this car from the Salt Lake City Porsche dealership in March 2024. This 991 was purchased new from the same dealership. I have service records from 2017. The Speediagnostix oil analysis performed in Oct 2023 shows that the engine is in pristine condition with no signs of bore scoring. The clutch works smoothly, and there are no leaks from the rear main seal or anywhere on the car. The paint is original and has PPF. The stone grey interior is in perfect condition, and the mileage is far below average at just over 32,355."

It says there is a lien on the. E hi Lee. I assume this is a loan? Has the loan been paid or would the buyer have to deal with a bank? Thanks.

  • FreeStateCavallino 1 week, 6 daysago

@Oldcarsrfun Great job ! I love the look of them. I have a similar set being built for my 991.1

  • Oldcarsrfun (seller) 1 week, 6 daysago

@Oldcarsrfun this Porsche has passed emissions tests Utah since it was purchased new there in 2007 and a few year in PA so it should pass in California. Sorry for any misspelled words in my responses. My “Smart Phone “ autocorrect seems to be over active and there is apparently no edit option on this site.

  • Oldcarsrfun (seller) 1 week, 6 daysago

@FreeStateCavallino the previous owner to me said the original rims, which I’m offering to the buyer, had curb rash so he purchased the 19 inch Turbo Twist look alike rims online from Tire Rack. He added a small spacer on the rear to get just the right look and fill the wheel opening. I definitely like them more than the smaller original rims personally.

@MrGeorge this Porsche is stock with no modifications and the original exhaust so I’m going to assume it will pass emissions testing in California. it has passed several times emissions tests in yeah

  • Oldcarsrfun (seller) 2 weeksago

@Jessannjoh the front tow hook cover is present. The reflection in the pictures makes it difficult to see so I will add a picture taken in my garage this evening. The reason for selling is to pay an unusually high tax bill due to my recent conservation easement investments. It is a beautiful Porsche and it is amazing to drive briskly. I really enjoy the analogy gauges, the hydraulic steering and the silky smooth 6 speed.

    Two questions.
    1) Is the front tow hook cover missing?
    2) Why are you selling so soon ?
    You have a beautiful Porsche

@Oldcarsrfun thanks for the quick reply! In the description, you had written that the diagnostic was done in Oct 2023. Looking at the report you attached, it was actually Oct 2024 (3 months ago). Feeling much better about that! Thank you

  • Oldcarsrfun (seller) 2 weeks, 3 daysago

@likethebike Great question. I’m willing to have this Porsche 997 under go a PPI if the potential buyer covers the cost. Porsche dealership in Salt Lake quoted four hours at $250 per hour. I am confident this Porsche does NOT have any significant bore scores for the following reasons. I had Speediagnostix oil analysis performed in Oct 2024. See report in gallery. The results showed No damage from bore scoring. This Porsche had frequent oil changes nearly annually even though the miles did not necessitate. Study the Car Fax for service intervals. The previous owner called me and related to me the history of the car since new. When he changed the spark plugs in his own garage he inserted a camera into every cylinder and did Not see any bore scoring. LN Engineering recommends Driven DI40 oil and analysis the oil every other oil change. I refer you to LN Engineering’s website for more information and their statement that the IMS failure in the 2007 911 is less than 1% and early detection manifests debris in the oil analysis. This 997 has a clean oil analysis report with No indication of RMS leaks, bore scoring or IMS failure. Bid with confidence as this Porsche has been maintained by all of its owners at the highest level.

  • likethebike (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 3 daysago

Any chance of a PPI to understand bore scoring potential here? Good luck with auction - will be following closely.

  • Oldcarsrfun (seller) 2 weeks, 3 daysago

@Siberian24 Sorry for my large thumbs typing 991 instead of 997. I do have Porsche dealership service records. I’m including the spare original rims and tires in the auction of the car. If the buyer doesn’t want them I will sell them separately but you must pick them up in person or pay for shipping & handling as they are large and heavy. I live near airport in Idaho Falls Idaho. I’m encouraging in person inspections as the Porsche and the Midnight Blue paint is even more impressive in person.

  • Siberian24 (registered bidder) 2 weeks, 4 daysago

Quote from the seller:"This 991 was purchased new from the same dealership. I have service records from 2017.

Interesting. How does a "991 New" with service records match this 997? Hmm. Where are you and the car located? It look like someplace 'south-ish' by the big southern IF golf course area. I'd like to see the car in person. Maybe give me a hint where, like a street or something? Maybe contact via Pcar? Would you sell the 'extra' set of wheels & tires separately? What about separate for the wheel spacers and bolts? Just thoughts.
