Presented in Forest Green Metallic over a Sand Beige full leather interior, this 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera S Coupe was ordered through Porsche’s Tourist Delivery Program and delivered to its original owner at the factory in Stuttgart. It came optioned with 19” Carrera Classic wheels, supple leather seats, the Makassar Package, Bose High-End Sound Package, a rear center console in leather, Tiptronic S transmission, and carbon fiber door sills along with several other premium features. Acquired by its third and current owner in 2019, this Carrera S is now being offered for auction out of New York with approximately 69k miles showing on the odometer.
This 997 comes finished in Forest Green Metallic, a rarely seen color first offered on the 911 Carrera in 1989. Optional 19” Carrera Classic wheels were mounted in November of 2021 with less than 8k miles driven since. An additional set of Pirelli P Zero high-performance summer tires accompanies the sale and have been used for just over 5k miles. Clear paint protection film is applied over the front end and the seller notes minor signs of road-going wear to the exterior as well as areas of crazed paint, some dings, and ghosting on the roof from a previously installed roof rack. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with optional Sand Beige full leather upholstery including a leather-covered steering wheel and rear center console. The rare Makassar Package adds decorative wood trim throughout the interior. Other options include carbon fiber door sills with model insignias, supple leather seats, the Power Seat Package, Bose High-End Sound Package, Parking Assist System, and self-dimming mirrors. A set of Guards Red seatbelts has been added along with an upgraded Kenwood head unit including a backup camera as well as satellite, HD radio, and Bluetooth receivers. Some wear is noted on the leather seats and center console, and a piece of the shifter button is broken. The seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be working properly however the outside temperature sensor is believed to be inaccurate.
A naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of an optional 5-speed Tiptronic S transmission. A major service was completed in 2015 at just over 28k miles including new spark plugs, a rear main seal, and brake fluid flush. Maintenance performed under the current ownership includes a water pump replacement in 2020 at 52k miles, a new battery and wheel alignment in 2021 at 61k miles, new coil packs, spark plugs, and a thermostat in March 2022 at 63k miles, and new brake pads, rotors, and sensors in June 2022 at 69k miles. The seller notes the car hesitates upon startup and was diagnosed by a Porsche service center as corrosion on the alternator/starter harness. This part is recommended for replacement in the future. The exhaust also has an odor, although the car passes New York States emissions requirements.
This sale will include a genuine Porsche car cover, the original owner’s manuals and Tourist Delivery documents, an additional set of tires, and a clean title.
