We are pleased to offer this 2007 Porsche 997 GT3 finished in Black over black interior with leather and Alcantara upholstery.  Representing the second generation of Porsche’s high-performance racing homologation model, this 2007 example is among the last of the GT3’s to have been offered with the coveted 3.6L Mezger flat-six engine.  This GT3 was delivered new in Texas and commanded an original sticker price of over $112k with factory options including the Sound Package Plus, Sport Chrono Package w/o PCM, the Bi-Xenon headlamp Package, a manual transmission, and heated Adaptive Sport Seats with Exclusive Porsche crested headrests.  It has also been upgraded with a bolt-in roll bar and Fabspeed exhaust headers.  This GT3 eventually made its way to Canada in 2014 where it is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ontario while showing just under 37k km (23k) miles on the odometer.

This GT3 is finished in nonmetallic Black and features unique front and rear fascias as well as a fixed rear wing that contributes to the car's “zero lift” aerodynamics.  This example is said to have been professionally detailed and the seller notes only a few small stone chips commensurate with the car’s mileage.  Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  The silver 19” GT3 wheels feature model-logo center caps and new Pirelli P-Zero tires.

Inside, the driver is situated in a black interior with Alcantara upholstery on the seat centers, steering wheel, shifter, and brake handle.  The leather Adaptive Sport Seats are heated and feature Exclusive Porsche crested headrests.  Other factory options include the Sport Chrono Package w/o PCM, the Sound Package Plus, and the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package.  A bolt-in roll bar has been added to the rear and some minor signs of wear are present on the front seats.  The seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.

In its stock configuration, this 997.1 GT3 derives as much as 415 HP and 300 lb.-ft of torque from a naturally aspirated 3.6L Mezger flat-six engine.  The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual gearbox allowing for acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4 seconds.  This example has been upgraded with a set of $5k Fabspeed headers which offer improved exhaust flow and a much more prominent engine note.  The previous owner is said to have maintained the car through Porsche of London in Ontario and the CARFAX report shows a history of maintenance dating back to 2008. The most recent documented service was carried out in April of 2020 at 35,811 miles by Foreign Automotive which included an oil and filter change, new spark plugs, a brake fluid flush, and a new air filter.

This sale will include a set of two keys and a clean title.  Among the most desirable 997 variants on the road, the GT3 is a fine-tuned sports car intended for the most discerning drivers.  Do not miss your chance to get behind the wheel of this tastefully appointed 2007 example.

So does PCar not know if the reserve has been met? I presume they try and work out the high bid with the seller and high bidder. Sort of weird compared to BaT not knowing if you won or not.

@Porschedave Returning this car to the US should be a non issue if originally sold in US, registered in the US and built to US specifications. Many transport companies handle this issue daily.

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@deuce I will try to get some close-up pictures but you can’t really see them it’s very very small dots the car has no PPF installed.

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@911_Dave hi you can contact these guys they do the importing from Canada to the US on daily basis https://www.usspeedo.com/our-services/ They should be able to help you out with all the importing questions. I can also deliver the car to Michigan and you can pick it up from there.

    Thanks

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Camaja i am located in thornhill Ontario.
    Postal code L4J8J2

    Thanks

  • deuce (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Can we get some photos of the stone chip affected areas please? Also, considering we’re talking about chips, I presume the car has no PPF installed? Thx.

  • 911_Dave (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Thinking about getting in on the action here, but as i'm in USA it's a little unclear what the hurdles are. Anyone have a definitive ruling? Thanks!

  • Camaja (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Where are you located in Ontario? Close to the Us border?

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Porsche964993 I'm also interested about the markings that indicate "manufactured to US standards"

  • dgamble911 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@stephenolitsky There we’re 449 .1 Carrera White cars. There was an RL post a few weeks ago that listed production color numbers for .1 and .2’s.

  • stephenolitsky (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Porsche964993 I love 911s in Carrera White; We have 2007 Carrera White 911S, GT3 & Turbo. Needless to say I’m watching the 997 market.

  • stephenolitsky (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@dgamble911 do you know the Carrera White production numbers ? I

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@stephenolitsky thank you sir your gt3 is beautiful as well?

  • dgamble911 (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@stephenolitsky There we’re 137 base black 997.1 GT3’s in North America. Second most popular color after white.

  • stephenolitsky (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Curious, does anyone know the production numbers (North America) by color for 2007 GT3’s? I haven’t seen many black, and I own a Carrera White 2007 GT3. This is a stunning car and assume she will run up as auction closes. Good Luck!

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@deuce hi, i am not too sure about the # of owners on carfax but most likely a dealer aquired it and sold it so it registered as a new owner everytime.
I will get a drive by video this weekend and post it up .

    Thanks and enjoy your weekend?

  • Porschedave (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

    Thank you!

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Porschedave yes i can take some pictures and yes we do have the title in hand.

    Thanks

  • deuce (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

    1 Question and 1 Request:
Question: Can you explain the recent ownership history? Appears that there have been a number of new owners reported this year (FEB, APR & JUN).
Request: Would appreciate a drive video added to the listing. Thx.

  • Porschedave (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Can you check inside the driver’s door at the manufacturers sticker ? It should say manufactured to US standards. Do you have title in hand?

  • _Will_ (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Porsche964993 My experience is that US customs does not accept any of the items you mention as sufficient "proof". In my instance at least they insisted the only acceptable document was a letter directly from the manufacturer confirming the vehicles conformity. I was importing an Audi, and Audi refused to issue such a letter so I had to pay the duty. I don't know if Porsche will issue such a letter or not.

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@_Will_ According to border website, a vehicle thats been previously registered in the US can be returned to the US duty-free as long as it can be proven (with US title, carfax, whatever) hope this help’s:)

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Porschedave Hi Dave , do you know of any broker’s in your area?
They can help you easily with the process of exporting the car back. Let me know if you need help searching for one.

    Thanks

    Will

  • Porschedave (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

So for USA bidders, what’s the plan to get it here if you win?

  • deuce 2 years, 10 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $70,000

  • harryh 2 years, 10 monthsago

Bid in the amount of $911

  • _Will_ (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

I believe tax is payable unless the buyer drives the car across the border personally, which is not currently possible under COVID restrictions.

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Porschedave i don’t think you need anything except for inspection from your own state. Also no taxes because it was a ex US car.

  • Porschedave (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

What are the requirements to bring the car back to the US?

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

@Porschedave Hi thank you guys, the car still has the stock exhaust the only mod is the fabspeed headers. 3 owners i will be getting a rev report and post it shortly

  • Porschedave (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Beautiful example. Do you have a rev limit report? Stock exhaust? How many owners?

  • Porsche964993 (seller) 2 years, 10 monthsago

    @CBRacerX i will post some up ?

  • CBRacerX (registered bidder) 2 years, 10 monthsago

Nice example. Some underbody images would be helpful (engine) to evaluate the exhaust system.
