Up for auction is this 2007 Porsche 997 GT3. Standing as one of the most iconic naturally-aspirated Porsches ever built, this 997 GT3 features the legendary Mezger engine, 6-speed manual transmission, and few must-have upgrades. This example was sold new in Virginia, eventually making its way to New York. Showing just 45k miles on the odometer, this GT3 is being offered in ready-to-drive condition by its seller out of Smithtown, New York.
The Basalt Black Metallic paint on this GT3 is said to be in excellent condition with Paint Protection film covering the front bumper, front fenders, hood, and mirrors. For additional peace of mind, a Cargraphic Airlift Front Axle Lift system has been installed. The Carfax report shows minor damage caused by an incident involving a deer. The seller notes that he inspected the car prior to purchase and confirms that all panels are original to the car. Paint meter readings suggest that the passenger fender and quarter panel have been refinished to an undetectable, high-quality standard. This example rides on factory GT3 alloy wheels which are wrapped in new Michelin Cup II tires. Within all four wheels are AP Racing rotors and red calipers with performance friction pads.
Inside, this GT3 is finished in black leather with Alcantara accents throughout. The interior is said to remain in excellent condition with some typical wear noted on the driver’s side bolster. This particular GT3 features factory options such as a sunroof, navigation, Sport Chrono package, and Alcantara wrapped steering wheel. The seller has added new Focal door speakers and dash tweeters which have been discretely installed behind the factory speaker grilles.
Powering this iconic GT3 is a 3.6L Mezger flat-six engine which is capable of producing 415 HP from the factory. This 997 has been outfitted with a Farnbacher/Loles Racing Exhaust and Header package to enhance performance. This GT3 has always been well-maintained and cared for, which is evident from the 0 over-revs in its DME report. Recently it has received a service which included all fluids and filters along with a serpentine belt.

Good folks, I have owned Porsches for years, raced them , including a cup car, and still have a turbo and a 2007 GT3 like this one....I absolutely love the GT3....It is different from the turbo, not quite as fast, but much more visceral. Mine has an aftermarket exhaust also. If you are looking for a cruiser, the GT3 isn't for you, but if you want some serious smiles as you rev it through 8500 rpms, this is a car that you might consider.....
@Jake42333 to the best of my knowledge the clutch is original. The majority of the mileage is highway and Sunday cruises.
Does it have the original clutch? What is the life left on it?

@Nicsti The car has high flow cats with O2 sensor as part of the Farnbacher/Loles Racing Exhaust system.

@JBP Unfortunately I do not have the original exhaust. The axle lift button is a remote that can be placed anywhere , I keep it stored just below the radio for easy access. The coolant lines have not been pinned or welded to my knowledge.
