This 2007 Cayman S has been modified for track use and has been fitted with a number of additional upgrades and motorsport equipment. The 3.4L flat-six has been modified with an LN extra capacity sump extension with X51 baffles and swirl pots, a Motorsport air-oil separator, and a Cargraphic racing exhaust, while the suspension has received JRZ RS-Pro 2-way adjustable shocks and Eibach springs, 997 GT3 components, Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brake (PCCB) front calipers, a TPC adjustable rear sway bar and RSS adjustable drop links, and more. The interior has been fitted with OMP seats and Schroth harnesses, a CAE ultimate shifter, a custom roll cage, and a SPA fire suppression system. Sporting an orange and yellow gradient paint job with removable blue racing stripes, this one-owner Cayman S shows 16,694 miles on the odometer and 214.48 hours on the AIM data acquisition system, and is now being offered at auction by the seller based out of New York.
Originally ordered in Speed Yellow, it is now finished in a custom paint job that fades from an orange front to Speed Yellow in the rear, with removable over-the-top blue racing stripes and door numbers. The CARFAX report shows minor damage to the front and rear which occurred in July of 2017, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with the complete CARFAX report. Exterior equipment includes a carbon fiber Interseries front splitter and an adjustable Interseries wing assembly, GT3 lower brake ducts, GT3 upper brake ducts and inner fender liners, front and rear recovery eyelets, and a custom center-exit side-turned exhaust. The 18” lightweight racing wheels are mounted with Hoosier racing tires, and a set of CCW alloy wheels, Forgeline GA3R wheels, and a third set of stock wheels are said to be included in the sale.
The interior has been stripped out, and a full custom 1.75”-inch diameter roll cage has been installed. Motorsport equipment includes two OMP HTE-R seats with Schroth harnesses, a Schroth center net, a wide rear-view mirror, a Genesis window net, and carbon fiber PCM delete switch panel, as well as a SPA 4.0L electronic fire suppression system, a 19qt Coolshirt driver cooling system with a helmet cooler, a MOMO steering wheel with a Rothsport quick disconnect, Rennline pedals and Rennline floorboards. An AIM MXL data acquisition system with a Smarty HD 2.1 camera has been fitted, along with a PSM (Porsche Stability Management) defeat switch, an additional fuse panel, a manual kill switch, and wiring for a radio have also been added.
The original 3.4L flat-six has been swapped with a fresh unit from another Cayman with 10k miles, and has been modified with a LN extra capacity sump extension, a Motorsport air-oil separator, and a Cargraphic racing exhaust. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement 6-speed manual transmission said to have 5k miles of use and Guard Pro limited-slip differential. The suspension has received JRZ RS-Pro 2-way adjustable shocks with custom rear valving and Eibach springs, a 997 GT3 front sway bar with RSS adjustable drop links, a TPC adjustable rear sway bar, RSS rear control links, and 997 GT3 front control arms. The front brake calipers have been upgraded to Porsche PCCB calipers and stainless steel brake lines are mounted at each corner.Custom Speedsport cooler kits for the gear oil and power steering have also been added, and the axles have been re-packed with high-temperature race specification grease.The seller reports this Cayman has been recently serviced by the Porsche specialist SST Auto of Danbury, Connecticut.

@Quackbury LRP was the home track. I am trying to get some video up. The Motor was out of a 2007 car as well. Not a rebuild. The motor was inspected when sourced and then installed. The motor is strong. We can do a PPI for anyone interested.
Given the location, I'm guessing Lime Rock was the home track, so I gotta ask: decibel levels? Representative lap times? Is the replacement engine also a 2007? Stock or a bespoke build by Jake Raby or the like? Nikasil liners? Has it been bore scoped? GLWA!

@GetBoosted The car would run I class in PCA and would run Gtb1 as well. The clutch was done when the 10k mile used motor was installed. It’s has about 20 hours on it since it was installed. The belts and fire suppression are expired for PCA but fine for track day use.

@Alpinist I’m not the seller… but he does say the original 3.4 was replaced with another 3.4 so I’m guessing it was another rebuild or he found a replacement motor.. either way, unless you have a reason to replace an IMS on a 05.5-2008 M97 motor (911/CS-BS) because it’s leaking or exploded there is no reason to rebuild

@Alpinist you can’t on M97.1 motors.. fixed IMS. If it needs replacement it’s a full motor tear down
Looks like a solid car! Since you have the aim system plus camera, do you have any YouTube videos of your track days? That would be most helpful.
How many hours on the components (Engine, transaxle, clutch)? How long since the last rebuild/dyno on the shocks? When does all the safety stuff expire (belts, window nets, fire suppression)? What class did this run in?
