Now up for auction is this 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera 4S Coupe in Black. Featuring painted hardback leather Sport Seats, the Sport Exhaust System, BOSE High-End Sound Package, and other exclusive details, this first-generation 997 was configured at an original sticker price of over $101k. Also featuring Bilstein coilovers, upgraded engine mounts, and a 6-speed manual transmission, this generously equipped 2007 example is now being listed by its seller in Oklahoma with approximately 68k miles showing on the odometer.
The timeless Black finish on this 4S is reported to be in excellent condition except for some slight road-going wear on the rear quarter panels (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). The look of this 997 has been enhanced with a “911” rear model designation, LED side markers, and aftermarket LED taillights with clear lenses. Factory Lobster Claw wheels are equipped which are finished in gloss black and dressed in new Falken tires.
Inside, this Carrera highlights a beautifully appointed Black interior with painted hardback Sport Seats in leather. An aftermarket Kenwood double-din head unit has been installed, although the factory optional BOSE subwoofer remains in place. The original multifunction steering wheel has also been swapped in favor of a 3-spoke Sport steering wheel. Options listed on the factory specification sheet include the following:
This 4S is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8 L flat-six engine. 355 HP is delivered to all 4 wheels through a preferable 6-speed manual transmission allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 4.5 seconds. The original PASM struts have been replaced with Bilstein PSS9 adjustable coilovers and the valves in the optional Sport Exhaust system have been fixed in the open position. Upgraded RSS engine mounts have also been installed and this 997 is said to have undergone all necessary maintenance including a recent oil change and alignment.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, original books and tools, a flat tire kit, coilover adjustment tools, and a clean title.

@panton Thought this went through earlier...sorry. The Valves are vacuum controlled..at this point they are just "capped" off. Easy to hook them back up. Thanks! -Miles
Given the the valves in the Sport Exhaust system have been fixed in the open position does this mean they can not be opened by the sport exhaust button? thanks in advance
@Miles.S Thank you for the prompt reply.
@panton I have the ID card for the bearing that you get with each bearing. It has the bearing serial number stickers and car information. It lists the shop that performed the work around 64000 miles. The ID card is in the photo gallery here. Thanks! Miles
@Miles.S Is the paper work you're referencing from LN Engineering an actual order form or receipt for the bearing? Can you post whatever you have. Thank you in advance
@Edzach that is correct. The crankcase has to be split to replace the bearing on the 997. I have the LN paperwork but not a receipt on the work. Unfortunately did not get many receipts with the car. I would assume someone would not waste the LN paperwork on a car that it was not performed on. However, always a possibility. So I can not confirm 100 percent when, where, and what mileage it was performed.
@Miles.S - don’t you have to disassemble the engine (separate the crankcase and all) for ims update on the m97 engine? Do you have paperwork to verify?
IMS bearing was updated with LN engineering Bearing. However, the 997 bearing is the strongest bearing Porsche had and not one to worry about. Thanks! Miles
Any update regarding IMS bearing?
