Pairing a 6-speed manual transmission with its naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six, this 2007 Porsche 997 Carrera S Coupe is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black full leather interior. It was also optioned with 19” Turbo wheels, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, heated Adaptive Sport Seats, Bose High-End Sound Package, Navigation for PCM, an Exclusive leather rear center console, and more. Showing under 28k miles on the odometer, this meticulously maintained example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of South Carolina.
Finished in Arctic Silver Metallic, this Coupe can be distinguished as a Carrera S by its red-painted brake calipers and quad exhaust outlets. It rides on optional 19” Turbo wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2022. Standard features include front fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and removable aftermarket SunTek radiator screens. The seller adds that paint protection film covers the entire vehicle, including the lights but excludes the roof. The full exterior has also been treated with Modesta ceramic coating, including the wheels and brake calipers. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black full leather upholstery, including an optional “Carrera S” embellished storage compartment lid and an Exclusive rear center console in leather. Other options include heated Adaptive Sport Seats, Navigation for PCM, Bose High-End Sound Package, and Sport Chrono Package Plus which adds a lap timer stopwatch dial atop the dashboard. The seller notes minor wear on the driver’s seat bolster, window switches, and door sill.
The naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine sends as much as 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus was selected, while Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) are equipped as standard. The following maintenance history was provided by the seller:
This sale will include a clean title, two keys, a window sticker, a battery charger, a car cover, and a toolkit.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for your interest in my vehicle. I purchased this car with plans of keeping it forever however I've found that I just don't drive it enough to justify keeping it. I have performed all necessary preventative maintenance during my ownership, and it has always been in my garage. This is a great honest 911 with no excuses. I want someone to purchase it and continue to give it the very best treatment that it deserves.”

@luis.seneriz thanks for your comments. As I’ve mentioned previously there are absolutely no signs of bore scoring based on audible data and visual observations during a cold start. Both exhaust tips are identical in my opinion. Thanks again for your input.
Incredible report from lemon squad. I definitely appreciated the details and accompanying photos, your only risk going for this car could be bore scoring, this car is a super clean example. Kudos to seller for providing a ton of documentation.

@jacob27 I do not have an oil analysis nor a leak down test. I’ve never had any reason to suspect bore scoring during my ownership.
@jacob27 I just don’t use the car like I thought I would. I Plan to purchase something that I’ll drive more often.
Also, what is the reason for selling?
Thanks for the DME report! I didn't see any checks for bore scoring on the DME so I just wanted to check and see if this has this had an oil analysis or had the bores scoped to check/make sure their is no bore scoring?

I wanted to add that the gentleman that actually came and drove the car asked if I had ice cleaned the underside of the engine. I can assure you that during my ownership I have meticulously maintained the exterior however I have never cleaned underneath the car at all. My main focus was maintaining the painted surfaces and the wheels.

@moneydealer Yes, it's already provided in the listing.

I've been driving a virtual twin to this 997S for the past 2.5 years. I've owned many Porsches from 356's, G50's, 993's, 991 Turbos and I feel the 997's are the best of breed. It's the correct sportscar size, has great handling and plenty of power, a very nice interior high quality interior and is arguably the prettiest of the 911's. Mine is approaching is approaching 65K miles and drives as tight as a 65 miles car.
Pretty clean DME. Thank you!
Greetings everyone. I wanted to let you know I added the DME report into the photo section.

Had the opportunity to see and drive this beautiful, well maintained car this morning, The pictures and description of this car do not do it justice. This car has obviously been loved, not to mention being very well taken care of by seller and previous owners. Great volume of maintenance and service items. Seller did a cold start, no smoke, sounds like a well tuned Porsche. Drives great, no rattles or other noises of concern. Nicks on windshield are barely noticeable. This is a well sorted car that is ready to go. Many thanks to seller for taking the time to show me this outstanding 997.
Thanks. I do not have a DME report but possibly could obtain one. I'm going to rule out going to the dealer but can inquire local shops to see if I can get it.
Nice looking car. Any chance of a DME?

I'll be adding a photo of the maintenance log book later today. I have comprehensive records from day 1 of the car. I can't show information from a previous owner without their consent. I will get that updated this evening.
@gaiakai Yes they are. I had forgotten the guys name but we have to be talking about the same guy. I actually started to keep them but figured they should go with the car. Thanks for mentioning that.
Are those Ultimate Cupholders? That’s dope if they are, the guy has been on a long hiatus
as I recall, the 05 IMS bearing comes out like the 996 model but this model Requires an engine out case splitting procedure. I think most of the information is on Ln engineering website. I think you can give them the vin number and they can tell you
@dcar0 mostly common up to 2006 but the problem was not completely resolved until 2009.
@P4tcars IMS on 997 is only a concern for 2005’s and some early 2006 I think…
@P4tcars it has not been changed and there haven’t been any indications that it should be changed. Thanks for asking.

Has the IMS bearing been replaced?
