We are pleased to offer this highly sought-after 2007 Porsche 997 GT3 finished in Carrara White.  The last of the GT3’s to be offered with a 3.6L Mezger flat-six engine, this 997.1 GT3 features a 6-speed manual transmission along with desirable factory options including the Chrono Package, seatbelts in Guards Red, Sound Package Plus, and a special black full leather interior with Alcantara.  Accompanied by the original window sticker and a stamped dealer service book, this GT3 is now being offered for auction by its current owner out of California with just over 18k miles traveled showing on the odometer.

This GT3 is finished in nonmetallic Carrara White, and clear protective film has been applied over the forward half of the nose.  Some light stone chipping is noted along the front end as well as some pitting on the windshield and a small mark on the passenger side front bumper, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  Offering “zero lift” aerodynamics, the 997.1 GT3 features a model-specific front fascia with large air intakes and a lip spoiler as well as a fixed rear wing mounted to the decklid.  This example has been optioned with the Bi-Xenon headlamp package and rides on factory 19” wheels with “GT3” logo center caps and Continental Extreme Contact tires.

Inside, this example features a premium black full leather interior with Alcantara upholstery on the door panels, seat inlays, shifter, handbrake lever, and three-spoke steering wheel.  Additional factory equipment includes the Sound Package Plus, Crono Package, a storage compartment lid with embossed model logo, seatbelts in Guards Red, and a footrest in aluminum.  Light signs of wear are noted on the driver’s seat along with a few scuffs on the inner door sill.  The original radio remains in place and all gauges and accessories are said to be working properly at this time.

The race-derived 3.6L Mezger flat-six engine sends up to 415 HP and 300 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission.  This naturally aspirated power plant features dry-sump lubrication, VarioCam variable valve timing, titanium connecting rods, and a sports exhaust with two center tailpipes.  The GT3 offers acceleration from 0-60 MPH in as little as 4.3 seconds with a top speed of over 190 MPH.  Other standard performance features include a locking rear differential, traction control, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), and vented disc brakes paired with 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston calipers in the rear.  The stamped dealer maintenance book shows a spark plug and drive belt change to have been carried out in 2013 at 11,949 miles as well as an oil and filter service in 2017 at 17,316 miles.  CARFAX shows the last documented service to have been carried out in February of 2020 including a new fuel filter, battery, drive belt, and transmission fluid change.  There are no outstanding maintenance items reported at this time and a DME report is provided for reference in the photo gallery.

This sale will include a set of two keys, owner's manuals, the original window sticker, stamped dealer maintenance book, and a clean title.  One of the most desirable track-focused Porsche’s of the modern era, this 997.1 GT3 awaits its next caretaker.

@stephenolitsky Congrats. Saw the car in person and its really great.

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@TMR3 best of my knowledge it has not. If it has, it wouldn't have been much. It still has the stock exhaust and coolant lines have not been pinned/welded.

  • TMR3 (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

has the car been tracked or auto crossed?

  • stephenolitsky (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Lajeunemartyre sounds like you should buy it.

  • Lajeunemartyre (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@stephenolitsky - how bad do you want this thing? Is this your perfect car?
It lives 6 blocks from my house so this could be a reflection of someone who really wants this thing vs the market price for it.

Friendly post to wish everyone good luck. I know it's just a car, but I am always happy to see my cars go to a good home. Thank you for your bids and interest. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any more questions.

@quinton I prefer 997s (of course) and thought that concourse 996 GT3 might be a great investment vehicle, but that 996 GT3 I thought may do ridiculous numbers as a concourse car... and it did. I hope the new owner drives her as stated!!

  • Bruised.RS (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@quinton They will all leak eventually. I just noticed the drop of oil on the floor and what looked to be a little bit of wetness in that area.

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@stephenolitsky white is just right on the gt3. I saw you missed out on that stunning 996. Amazing price and I’m glad the new owner is going to drive the hell out of it. I’m going to google your 997. Sounds killer. Let me know if I can answer any other questions on this one.

  • stephenolitsky (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@quinton thanks for the heads up. It’s a beautiful car. I have a 2007 911S Aerokit, that was owned by the CEO of RennLine and was their 997.1 “catalogue car” (and I believe still is). It has RennLine everything including a full race suspension. I have been looking for the right white 997 GT3 to add...

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Bruised.RS I have not seen any, although it was reported in the PPI. From what I hear it’s not uncommon with the mezger engine

  • Bruised.RS (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

RMS leak, how much is it dropping?

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@stephenolitsky paint meter pics are now live.

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @Canucklehead thanks. That makes sense.

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @stephenolitsky it’s a 997.1

  • stephenolitsky (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Canucklehead thanks I was researching and wasn’t sure if that was 997.1 or 997.2.

  • Canucklehead 2 years, 11 monthsago

@stephenolitsky - Porsche stopped affixing an option code sticker to the underside of the hood beginning around the time the 987 and 997 models came out in 2005-2006

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@stephenolitsky best of my knowledge it has not been repainted. All the meter readings are very close throughout. Re owners too, I'm actually the third owner. You'll notice on the carfax report it was never sold after the second owner, until I purchased it. My understanding is that the previous owner had multiple homes (lucky) and when he had the car at that location for an extended period of time, he would register the car in that state.

  • stephenolitsky (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@quinton I look forward to your pics. I assume the car has been repainted (at least the hood) if the original option sticker is missing on a 15k mi car. As the 5th owner (I believe), are you aware of paintwork?

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@stephenolitsky I uploaded the paint meter pics and one of the underside of the hood. There is no sticker on hood, but options are listed in the original window sticker. (Please note that the window sticker includes the fire extinguisher. This does not come with the car. It was not with the vehicle when I purchased it, although you can get them pretty easiler from suncoast et. al). I took an extra meter reading from the underside for you just to ensure everything is covered. I asked pcar to upload them, but it's a Sunday, so not sure how long it will take. If you need the pics asap, I can email them to you. LMK you have any other questions, and good luck!

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@stephenolitsky no they have not been.

  • stephenolitsky (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@quinton thanks. Did I read that the coolant lines are welded? I thought I had read that and having trouble finding that info again...

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@stephenolitsky I’m not home today, but will take pics and readings tomorrow

  • stephenolitsky (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Do you have a photo of the underside of the hood (front boot) showing the original options from porsche and do you have paint metering?

  • Robert.FU.Hastings (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

  • Robert.FU.Hastings (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@quinton great, I'll be looking for that. I also had a 7.1 with the bypass and that sound was fantastically intoxicating. Miss it enough to want another...

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@KingsmanTimepieces agree. Esp when it echos off the canyons.

  • quinton (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

@Robert.FU.Hastings yes, I have a recent DME. It was uploaded but I don’t see it in the listing. Let me ask pcar why

  • KingsmanTimepieces (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

GLWS Quinton! I have the exact same car w/ PCCB’s and Sharkwerks bypass and like you said when these cars get on the upper end of the band, the sound is purely euphoric!

  • Robert.FU.Hastings (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

Beautiful car. Did you obtain a DME report in preparation to sell?

Hi all, I'm the seller of the GT3. It's a bitter-sweet moment parting with a dream car, but know it will go to a good home. This thing pulls like a freight train once you step on, and oh that sound. If you have any questions, ask away.
