Up for auction is this 2007 Porsche 987 Cayman finished in Speed Yellow over a black leather interior with Sport Seats. Debuted in 2005, the Cayman was introduced with a mid-engine platform derived from the Boxster coupled with a fastback design. This 2007 Cayman was originally delivered to Barrier Porsche of Washington in February 2007, optioned at an original sticker price of just over $60k, including heated front seats, 18” Cayman S wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management, Sport Chrono Package, bi-xenon headlamps, and Exclusive Speed Yellow seatbelts. Remaining under the care of the original owner, this Cayman shows approximately 4k miles on the odometer and now is being offered at auction by the seller out of Washington.
This 987 is finished in Speed Yellow (12H) and features bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, quarter panel vents, and a speed-controlled spoiler. The exterior is said to remain in excellent condition with no notable flaws, and the front bumper and half the hood are covered in paint protection film. The optional 18” Cayman S wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires showing date codes from 2020.
The interior is upholstered in black leather with black heated sport seats featuring Exclusive Speed Yellow safety belts and matching Exclusive Speed Yellow dials. The driver is also supplied with self-dimming mirrors with an integrated rain sensor and the Bose High-End Sound Package. A stopwatch dial is mounted in the center dashboard as part of the Sport Chrono Package. The audio system has been upgraded with an apline amplifier, new speakers and a touchscreen head unit with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. The original radio is said to accompany the sale.
This Cayman features a mid-mounted 2.7 L flat-six engine rated at 245 HP and 201 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transmission allowing for a 0-60 time of approximately 5.5 seconds and a top speed north of 160 MPH. The seller reports that all standard maintenance has been observed and all fluids were changed in the last three months.
This sale will include 2 sets of keys, the original stereo, and the owner’s manuals.

@Woodrm64 IMS bearing has not been replaced it only has 4000 miles. All fluids were changed and serviced approximately three months ago along with a complete scan. There’s never been any over ribs and no codes have ever been found during any of its services. My understanding Is that the IMS bearing generally lasts at least up to 100 K
I do not see any mention of the IMS bearing. Does this nice yellow example have the original IMS bearing and clutch? Also, has an engine management record been pulled that shows running hours and engine events? Interested especially in any over-rev's and when the system fault codes were last cleared.

Regarding the Alaska question, it does look like the car was originally delivered to a dealership in Alaska, was serviced there, then moved to another Dealership in Washington, where it was purchased by Waide and registered there for the first time. Hence, it's unlikely that it was driven in Alaska. The seller's explanation is correct.

@stakko The Porsche was never in Alaska I don’t know where you got that information. It was purchased in Bellevue Washington at Barrier Porsche. It has no rush whatsoever it has not even been driven in the rain
Any pictures of the underside? Just want to make sure there isn’t any rust/damage, seeing as it was originally in Alaska.

@pcarman The speakers were upgraded to a high-end Bose speaker. The protective film is for front bumper Half hood. Included with the sale is original stereo head unit. I installed by Benchmark audio. A high-end audio dealer that works on Porsche’s Ferraris etc.

@pcarman Tires are two years old. Do not have the old speakers original amp still in the vehicle. I will have to check and get back to you regarding the window sticker not sure if I still have it or not.

Beautiful car, why such low mileage? What is the age of the tires? Please check tire date code and advise. Is the factory amp still in the car? What were the speakers upgraded with and are the original ones still available? Is the protective film full coverage or partial? Cheers!
@deanhaub It has the Chrono instrument package. Sport suspension package. And Porsche stability management system as options on this car. Basically the same as the S model less the engine and the Big break system.
@GSuttles @GSuttlesI saw your comment about the Cayman and agree that it does stand out with the yellow color. I don't know much about this model, and was wondering if you could educate me, and tell if it has some of the S options? Can you tell from the pictures?
@deanhaub There are absolutely no leaks no dried gaskets and it has been started Monthly
Are there any leaks? Often times older cars with low mileage tend to leak because of dried gaskets.
also, do you have any pictures of the undercarriage?

This is definitely one of the coolest 2007 Cayman Base models I have seen. It's got a lot of extra nice upgrades, unbelievably low miles and that yellow color really pops. In short, what a 'puff' as we used to say. I thought my 07 guards red base with 12K miles was unique, this one truly is. They are a blast to drive and have plenty of power for those who are interested in the actual experience of driving versus accelerating from a stop. You won't be disappointed with this one.

What @Gsuttles said. I believe the car also has manual heat, not auto climate control, and that aftermarket Kenwood head unit is mated to an Alpine amplifier which takes up an inordinate share of the usable space in the frunk. A very pretty low miles example, but the errors in the listing should be corrected.
This looks to be a 2007 Cayman BASE, not S model, with a 5-speed, not 6 speed transmission as described in title. It has some S features, the S wheels and dash clock, but the smaller 2.7 liter engine of the base, no red calipers, single exhaust, and S is not on the trunk lid.
