This 2007 Porsche 987 Cayman S is presented in a rare Lago Green Metallic finish over Sand Beige leather upholstery and pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its mid-mounted flat-six engine. Options include 19” Turbo wheels, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, spoiler lips in aluminum look, interior trim in exterior color, and more. Acquired by the seller approximately one year ago from Porsche Fort Myers, Florida, this Cayman S is now being offered for auction out of New Mexico showing approximately 40k miles on the odometer.
This Cayman S is finished in the rare shade of Lago Green Metallic and features optional aluminum-look front spoiler lips. It can be distinguished as an "S" model from the base Cayman by its red-painted brake calipers and dual center-mounted exhaust outlets. This 987 rides on 19” Turbo wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires from 2017. It has been optioned with aluminum-look spoiler lips. The seller notes a few small imperfections on the front bumper and hood and states that the red “S” model designation is faded. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor front-end damage in 2020.
Inside, this 987 is upholstered in Sand Beige leather and features optional matching floor mats and trim strips painted in the exterior color. The Sport Chrono Package was additionally opted for. The seller notes the air conditioning system was repaired under their ownership and they have added a black shift knob along with an aftermarket stereo and navigation system. The factory shift knob as well as the original Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 2.1 with extended navigation and PCM Package in aluminum-look are said to accompany the sale.
The mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six produces up to 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft. of torque, sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) and Active Brake Differential (ABD) come standard. The seller reports to have replaced the clutch, flywheel, and slave cylinder. Additionally, an aftermarket radiator has been installed along with an upgraded FVD oil pan. The seller notes that the car is due for an oil change.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, an air pump, a car cover, extensive documentation, the original shift knob, the original PCM system, and a clean title.

FWIW, there are no significant signs of an impending IMSB failure, unless you see massive amounts of metal shavings in your oil filter, and if you do, it's too late. You can't even inspect the IMSB unless you pull the engine apart. The good news is that in this generation of 987s, the failure rate is less than 1% making IMSB a non-factor in this car. Great car, GLWA!

@stockman So the first time I had my local shop check on the car I had basically do a PPi even though I had already bought the car. They found no over revs logged by the ecu. As for the IMS it was their opinion that it was showing no signs of failure at this time.
Can you comment on the question about over revs and the ims?
@Tripin6 Also. In the year that I have owned the car, I have done two oil changes. One after I got the car home from Florida and a second when I installed the the FVD oil pan. I have maybe driven the car 6000 miles this year. So an oil change every 3000 miles.
@Tripin6 I have not had any advanced diagnosis of the engine done because it has not shown any signs that it needs it.
The front-end damage happened to a previous owner so I don't know for sure but I think it was just the bumper. I will try to find the time to take pictures of the records something today if I can.
Also…original windshield? Did the front end damage recorded in the CarFax report damage only the bumper cover or did it damage the hood and or fenders as well? What were your oil change intervals?
Can you add pics of all the receipts/records you have for the car? Thank you?
Have you the analyzed? Have you had it bore scoped for signs of scoring? Thanks

@racer417 Great question. There is nothing wrong with this amazing car. The problem is with me. I am just shy of 6'5" tall and I simply don't fit comfortably.
Like the car. Would like to know the reason for the sale. Any over-revs, oil analysis or IMS bearing service? Thanks.
Beautiful color. If I didn’t already have a new to me Cayman arriving this weekend, I would be bidding on this one for sure.
Wow what a gorgeous color! I can’t believe so many of these were ordered in silver or grey.
The listing mentions a window sticker. @Seller can you post a picture of it?
