This 2007 Porsche 987 Cayman S was purchased by the seller in 2023 and subsequently modified with a glass-out repaint in Maritime Blue and a rebuilt engine with a 3.6-liter displacement upgrade including forged pistons, custom cylinder heads, an upgraded intake, camshafts, an IMS bearing direct oil feed (DOF), a lightweight flywheel, and a custom exhaust with a GT3 center muffler. The cabin features reupholstered leather and Alcantara seats, a body-colored center console, an Alcantara headliner, a MOMO Mod.07 steering wheel, and red seatbelts. This Cayman S also received a custom ducktail rear spoiler, GT4-style side scoops, side skirts, H&R Sport springs, toe-adjustable rear control arms, GiroDisc brake rotors, an upgraded sport clutch, semi-solid transmission mounts, new engine mounts, and factory 18” wheels refinished in White Gold Magnesium. Having barely been driven since the completion of the project, this professionally customized and upgraded 987 is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
In 2023, this 987 was completely disassembled with glass out and refinished in the iconic 1990s Porsche color of Maritime Blue. The exterior features a custom-made ducktail-style rear spoiler, side skirts, GT4-style side intake scoops, a front lip spoiler, protective black mesh radiator grille screens, clear side marker lenses, and dual titanium GT3 exhaust tips. The factory-optioned bi-xenon headlamps have been replaced with standard 987 halogen headlamps to reduce weight. It rides on factory 18” wheels refinished in White Gold Magnesium and dressed in new Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 tires. The car was originally finished in Cobalt Blue Metallic, and the CARFAX report shows minor damage from a rear-end accident in 2016 and minor damage to the front and left rear end in 2019. The seller adds that the car was completely repainted for the custom build, not the previously reported damage. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The interior has been redone and customized reupholstered with black leather and Alcantara seats, an Alcantara headliner and rear shelf, red seatbelts, and a Maritime Blue-painted center console. Accessories include an Alcantara-wrapped MOMO Mod.07 steering wheel with a functioning horn button, a factory X97 aluminum shift knob with an Alcantara boot, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, a sound system, a Porsche CDR24 stereo, and new Porsche floor mats.
Power comes from a newly built 3.6-liter M96 flat-six engine featuring forged pistons, custom cylinder heads, upgraded camshafts, a TRS 4" underdrive pulley, an IPD intake plenum, a GT3 throttle body, full Carrera S intake runners, a unique air/oil separator system, uprated hardware, IMS bearing direct oil feed (DOF), new custom engine mounts, and a full custom exhaust system with a factory 997 GT3 muffler. A dyno-tested output of 380 HP at the crank is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission with an upgraded AASCO lightweight flywheel, SPEC Stage 2 clutch, and semi-solid mounts. The suspension has been modified with H&R Sport lowering springs, toe-adjustable rear control arms, camber-adjustable rear lower control arms, and polyurethane bushings. The brakes have also been upgraded with two-piece GiroDisc rotors measuring 340mm in front and 325mm at the rear, refreshed calipers with upgraded studs, new street pads, braided stainless-steel lines, and SRF fluid. The seller adds that the engine was a “zero-mile” build, and the car has only been driven for dyno testing and two parade laps since completion.
This sale will include a toolkit, an air compressor, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Additional options can be installed for the buyer of the vehicle, which can be discussed at that time. For example, these options can include upgraded suspension, a Porsche classic radio, a limited slip differential, short ratio gears, etc.”

I was concerned about been able to fit comfortably in this car, today at our p car cars and coffee I was able to seat and drive an 06, too tight and not comfortable enough for me. I have to stick with the 911s, beautiful car, GLWA.
@PhantomU , We still have the original lights, yes. The halogen version was installed for weight reduction.
Are the original factory-optioned bi-xenon headlamps still available

@por356c , Thank you! This car is intended to be Grand touring vehicle offering a sporty drive yet still having a sense of comfort and is capable of being a track day car. The engine has break-in miles; it only has dyno time and a couple of Parade laps with PCA at Homestead.
This is a stunning car. Wow! Super well done. Is this car intended to be a track car, or a highly modified street car? How many miles on the rebuilt engine?
@MakeLoveNotBidWars , thanks for your questions.
To answer:
We do have the stock xenon headlights, original steering wheel with airbag, and stock exhaust manifolds "headers".
The car did not have an airbag deploy at the time of the recorded incidents. We purchased the car with a blown engine, but clean and complete, to use as a donor for the build.
We offer the vehicle with a build sheet "window sticker" as well as a plaque showing this is build #001 of the Cayman line to the buyer. This is a D'accardi Automobili collaboration built by TuneRS Motorsports.
Interesting build, I'd love to know more about the car. I'll start off the questions with:
Do you have the stock headlights?
Do you have the stock exhaust manifold with cats to pass inspection?
Did the airbags deploy in the second accident and if not, do you have the stock steering wheel?
Do you have receipts for the engine build and the body work that was done?
Who tuned the car?
