We are pleased to present this 2007 Porsche 997 Targa 4S finished in Paint to Sample Nordic Gold Metallic. Representing a very small portion of total 997 production, the Targa model was offered in an all-wheel-drive configuration only and was the last of the 911 Targas to feature a sliding glass roof system. This 2007 launch model was ordered in an exceptionally rare Paint to Sample color along with 19” Turbo wheels, Sport Chrono Package Plus, the Bose High-End Sound Package, heated seats with crested headrests, black full leather upholstery, and a 6-speed manual transmission. Showing approximately 34k miles on the odometer, this incredibly unique Targa 4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This 997 was ordered in the rarely seen Paint to Sample color of Nordic Gold Metallic. The Targa sports a large sliding glass roof panel, opening rear hatch, and unique chrome trim accenting the roofline. An EMC2 Design Kit front lip spoiler has been fitted and CARFAX shows damage to have occurred to the right-front end in 2017 while the car was in Canada. Minor cosmetic damage is also depicted on the lower right side of the front bumper, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with the full CARFAX report. This Targa rides on a set of factory optioned 19” Turbo wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
Inside, this 4S features optional full leather upholstery complemented by exclusive Porsche crested headrests, custom floormats, a body-colored center console, and carbon-fiber trim for the shifter, brake handle, steering wheel, and grab handles. Creature comforts include heated and power-operated seats, self-dimming mirrors, navigation for PCM, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. The cabin is described to have been very well kept with all electronics and accessories remaining fully functional.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six engine connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. As much as 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels allowing acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 4.5 seconds. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus allows the driver to optimize suspension and engine characteristics while monitoring performance via an integrated data-logging system. CARFAX shows the last recorded service to have been carried out in July of 2020 at 31,728 miles including a maintenance inspection and oil change.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals, first aid kit, and a clean title. Do not miss out on this special opportunity to own one of the very few Paint to Sample 997 Targas.

@AMGMD Oil breaks down when driven short distances (moving around your lot) and gets condensation/moisture in the oil and does not lubricate. These engines are fragile in that respect.

@AMGMD @eazy this was the official launch color for the new 997 targa. I believe each dealer was allocated one each. It is PTS bc it was not a standard production color a customer could select. I have seen, on rare occasion, other 911s ordered in this color (under PTS).
@Eazy please take a look at the build sheet attached in the photo gallery, clearly states “Metallic Paint to sample” Thanks.
I could be mistaken, but I believe this color was offered only for the Targa. Was not a paint to sample???
These indoor photos are awful - the color does not show well under the harsh artificial lighting and pls pls pls take quality outdoor photos in natural lighting. I have the twin of this car and the color is absolutely amazing. I searched for a clean, quality Nordic gold targa 4S for nearly two years and finally found one. The color is a vintage-y burnt Orange similar to early 70s Porsches. It takes the 997 targa and brings a 70s targa feeling to it. I am stopped by people all the time asking about the color and raving about it. And you will probably never come across this color in person other than your own, given the rarity. For the sake of Porsche lovers and Nordic gold owners, please take some proper photos. This is not a Hyundai on a dealer lot, it is a special and rare car.
