Produced from 2005 to 2017, the Vantage was offered as the leanest and most agile GT sports car in Aston Martin’s lineup featuring a two-seat layout and lightweight bonded aluminum structure. This V8 Roadster version comes finished in Jet Black over an Obsidian leather interior, equipped with a 6-speed Sportshift automated manual transmission.  It was sold new from Park Place Limited of Bellevue, Washington, and has resided in Texas since 2008 where it is now being offered for auction showing just over 35k miles on the odometer.

The Henrik Fisker-designed bodywork comes finished in Jet Black with a matching convertible top, red-painted brake calipers, vented fenders, swan-wing doors, and dual exhaust outlets.  The factory 19” 15-spoke silver alloy wheels are currently dressed in a mixed set of tires with 2021 Michelins in front and 2014 Dunlop SP Sport tires in the rear.  The seller notes a scratch on the right rear trunk lid as well as a missing plastic trim piece from the lower front spoiler. Scratches are also noted on the rims, lower front spoiler, and protective plastic films over the nose and mirror caps.  Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Obsidian Black leather interior is accented by silver stitching, metal fittings, and an Alcantara-trimmed windscreen frame.  Driver amenities include automatic climate control, power-adjustable seats with memory settings, a pop-up navigation system, pushbutton ignition, leather-trimmed paddle shifters, and an AM/FM CD stereo.  Some general signs of wear are depicted throughout the cabin as well as scuffs on the door sills.

The first-generation V8 Vantage carries a 4.3L DOHC 32-valve V8 engine assembled by hand at the AM facility in Cologne, Germany. This naturally aspirated power plant generates up to 380 HP and 308 lb.-ft of torque which is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed Sportshift automated manual transmission.  Other performance features include positive torque control, a stainless-steel exhaust with active bypass valves, four-wheel independent double-wishbone suspension, and Dynamic Stability Control.  Some maintenance history is shown on the CARFAX report and the seller states the front tires were replaced since their purchase in 2020 along with the parking brake pads, drive belt, and hood struts.

This sale will include a clean title.

@mackeyew No service records were included when we purchased the car. We posted the detailed list of what we had done because Carfax often does not give, or have, the full details of previous services performed.

A gorgeous car…the wheels actually appear to be from a DB9 of the same age…these were the upgraded (cost option) 15-spoke wheels…I’ve only seen one other with this swap (and in my opinion) really work well on the V8…GLWTA.

@vantage08 thank you! So no service history other than what you've described and what's in the Carfax?

  • vantage08 (seller) 1 year, 12 monthsago

@mackeyew Service record: 09/18/2020. Service as follows:
30K service, changed oil and filter, changed transaxle fluid, renewed the coolant, brake fluid flush, renewed spark plugs and changed air filters. Performed full scan and battery test. Safety and full check over-no evidence of oil or coolant leaks at this time. Date codes on front tires were from 2011.
    Replaced the handbrake pads.
    Replaced the drive belt.
    Replaced both hood struts.
Replaced the weak right door check strut.
    Replaced both front tires.
Sent car to body shop for touch up and polish. No evidence of any prior dents, damage, or paint work.
I had given information on this but it wasn't posted.

What service records do you have?

@vantage08 Appreciate the response. These earlier models have been known to have some paint issues (generally doors) from the factory that didn't appear till years later. But I haven't seen a case where the rear fenders were effected, or to this effect. Beautiful cars and amazing to drive (potential bias as I own one).

  • vantage08 (seller) 2 yearsago

@Jano4 The spots you see in the photos are not bubbles in the paint but spots appearing thru the original paint. The detailer said there was nothing he could do to remove them. The fender does not appear to have ever been repainted. We posted this picture because it was the only place on the car where it's happened. We tried to disclose all known blemishes because we've been burned in the past by other online auction purchases

What is going on with #24-25 photo's on the panel opposite of that scratch? Looks like bad repaint on what I suspect is a photo of the rear fender? Paint looked bubbled up.

    Timeless design. GLWS!
