The first and only production M3 to have been offered with a V8, the E90 generation is lauded for its 4.0-liter S65 engine which produces over 400 HP. This 2008 E90 M3 Sedan comes finished in Jerez Black Metallic over Black Novillo Extended Leather upholstery and features a 6-speed manual transmission along with the optional Premium and Technology Packages, 19” forged wheels, Park Distance Control, Enhanced Premium Sound, and more. Sold new in Colorado at an original sticker price of over $70k, this M3 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois while showing approximately 72k miles on the odometer.
The M3 is distinguishable from a standard E90 sedan by its unique bumpers, vented front fenders, side skirts, rear trunk lid spoiler, quad exhaust tips, and power dome hood. This example is finished in Jerez Black Metallic with Shadowline trim and optional 19” Style 220 forged wheels. Clear paint protection film is applied over the front end and the car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
The cabin is lined with Black Novillo Extended Leather upholstery complemented by Carbon Structure Leather trim and a matching headliner. The Cold Weather Package adds heated front seats and fold-down rear seats with the Premium Package equips power-folding mirrors, a digital compass mirror, and BMW Assist. The Technology Package also includes M Drive, Comfort Access System, and a navigation system. Other equipment includes optional Enhanced Premium Sound with satellite and HD radio, Park Distance Control (rear), rear manual side window shades, a power rear sunshade, an optional moonroof, an M sport steering wheel, M-design instrumentation, and adjustable front seat lumbar support.
Up to 414 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque comes from a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter S65 V8 engine featuring M Double-VANOS variable valve timing. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and a Variable M Differential Lock. The optional Technology Package also includes Electronic Damping Control (EDC).
