Developed by BMW’s in-house motorsports division as the high-performance version of the 3-series model, this fourth-generation M3 is powered by a naturally aspirated S65 V8 engine paired with a desirable 6-speed manual transmission. A well maintained and properly cared for example, this E92 highlights a clean 2-owner history on CARFAX and is now being offered for auction by its seller in New York with approximately 41k miles showing on the odometer.
Finished in Alpine White, this M3 is said to have been garage-kept throughout its life and the condition of the exterior is depicted in the photo gallery along with recent paint meter readings. Distinct M-specific features include flared fenders with front air vents, aggressive front and rear fascias, a revised front bonnet, aero wing mirrors, side skirts, and an exposed carbon-fiber roof panel. This E92 carries a naturally aspirated S65 4.0 L V8 engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. In its stock configuration, this venerable power plant is capable of generating 414 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque. This particular example is equipped with a high-quality Dinan exhaust system which provides a beautiful sound as well as a moderate increase in power. A collection of service records is provided in the photo gallery showing routine maintenance items including a 2019 invoice for replaced throttle actuators at 40,986 miles.

This looks like a very nice example of a lower mileage great drivers car. These are a blast to drive and, well...it’s a V8. Nuff said!

@fl707qhb And just something to add: It can be a future collectible in my opinion, since it is the last m3 made with naturally aspirated engine and the only M3 made with v8/ manual. BMW are trying to do away from manual transmission all together as the current 3 series is not offered with manual.
@fl707qhb The E92 M3 is the fourth generation of BMW M cars and the first to feature a V8 which I think any car enthusiast can agree, sounds incredible. The E92 can be found throughout the US, but certain specifications like this (Carbon roof, manual transmission) as well as in this condition (only 41K miles) are becoming more and more scarce.

@Bahnburner This car is bone stock with a catback. No tune. According to all Dinan exhaust, says it doesn't interfere with emissions based on my search on internet.

Did the exhaust come with a CARB sticker? I believe the Dinan stuff is carb certified, would be helpful for a california buyer. Is it just the exhaust? No tune?

@Fringecarcollector I understand your concern. I can certainly say it is conclusive this vehicle is a 2008. I will assume it could have been the later production 2008 models that had this set up? Not sure. Perhaps BMW of North America would be able to answer your question.

@rkaufman11021, the iDrive appears to be the next generation that was not found in the E92 until, I believe 2009 or 2010. With an 8/2008 build date, how is this not a MY 2009 titled as a 2009?

As an avid car enthusiast and also somebody that buys and sells on the daily, I would like to say this is most certainly one of the highest quality E92 M3's I have come across. I would think it would be very difficult to find a better quality unabused E92 6 Speed out there. This car is a Blast to drive and we all know how desirable and sort after they have become.
