Available for auction is this 2008 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR finished in Black over a black leather interior. Borrowing its name from the legendary GT500KR of the 1960s, the modern iteration was launched for the 2008 model year and features a supercharged 5.4L V8 paired with a six-speed Tremec manual transmission and a limited-slip differential as well as an SVT-tuned suspension, the Ford Racing Power Upgrade kit, forged aluminum wheels, carbon fiber aerodynamics, specialized badging, and more.  Representing #102 out of 1,011 examples produced in total, this one-owner GT500KR is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California with just over 1k miles showing on the odometer.

This GT500KR comes finished in Black with contrasting matte ebony stripes over the top and along the sides of the car.  The GT500KR features a special carbon fiber hood with forward-facing intake scoops, air extractors, and satin chrome-finished hood pins. Additional features include a carbon fiber aerodynamic front splitter, carbon mirror caps, and Shelby GT500KR fender and grille emblems.  The Alcoa 18″ forged-alloy wheels come dressed in a set of new Nitto NT 555 G2 summer tires measuring 285 front and 255 rear. Equipped with an Eaton R122 Roots-style supercharger, high-flow cylinder heads, revised programming, a unique H-pipe exhaust system, and Ford Racing cold-air intake, the GT500KR offers an output of up to 540 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential. The GT500KR receives a host of upgrades over a standard V8 Mustang including larger Brembo brakes, wider tires, stiffer springs and dampers, thicker anti-roll bars, and a three-link Ford Racing Panhard-style rear suspension tuned by Ford’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT). The Shelby GT500KR Package also includes special aluminum fluid caps, a front strut brace, and a commemorative placard in the engine bay.  The CARFAX report highlights service at 678 miles as well as airbag replacement earlier in 2021 at 860 miles.  The seller reports a fresh service will be carried out by an authorized Ford dealer prior to sale.
